Package holidays to the extreme. I booked my tour from London with one of the package holiday companies and chose Magaluf because I'd never heard of it. Arrived at Palma around 10:30 PM and picked up the rental car and headed to Magaluf. The hotel was very basic but what did I expect for 4 nights. The half-board dinner was very good and breakfast was acceptable but the drunk Brit golfers every single night hooping and hollering under our balcony was very disturbing and the management's reluctance to do anything about it put us even further off. Hard to keep a 3 year old in bed when 3 drunks are complaining about the need for a wank. Would probably never stay here again -or go to Magaluf for that matter.

If you like discotheques, nearby Hotel Samos there is BCM Music Empire.
So if you don't like the noise you don't stay at Hotel Samos ... people are parting there are night long ...
Mallorca is known for its nitelife. There are varios spots you could visit. There are three main centers, those are El Arenal, Magalluf-Palmanova, and Palma de Mallorca. In El Arenal you will see a majority of German people in most discos and pubs. The places i would recommened there would be Zorbas, and the pubs by the beach. Magalluf is a full of people from UK, and BCM is the place to be at. Palma is a more refined place, and there somes to be more of local people there. The best disoc overthere is Titos.
Magalluf is the most agitated and noisy beach of Mallorca, thus appealing to the youngster. We took solomonic decision, staying in the western end of Palma Nova, in the "border" of both beaches.
That allowed us a relatively calm staying in Palma, and some short visits to the other side, where the young guys of our team went each night. But in daylight, the beach is also quiet and beautiful.
i stayed at sol magalluf park for a week, and it was great! the reception staff are sometimes helpful but dont speak good english! the activities were great, as was the rep! the food is the same evry day and night so if you find something you like on the first day you will be ok for the rest of the week. the rooms were a bit worn down and in need of updating, but were a good size. it is really close to all the pubs/clubs and the beach! magalluf is brilliant as so many places are just like home! i will definetly return to sol magalluf park!!
holiday june 11 -25 2005 at sol magalluf park no complaints about anything rooms cleaned and fresh towels every day, free shower gel and soap provided for the entire length of holiday, air condition ceiling fan, full english breakfast or cereal, rolls, meats & cheese etc. Evening meal always english theme roast beef, pork, lamb 3 veg or chips, pizza, lasagne, goulash etc followed by traditional english desserts rice pudding, bread pudding, jam roly poly or cakes and plenty of fresh fruit staff very friendly. Round the pool, sunbeds unlocked at 9 am out door and indoor pool available very close together (indoor has coldest water) background music played around bar area but not by indoor pool, upstairs sun deck, well equipped childrens play area also well supervised, activities like shooting, archery, water polo, 5 a side and french boules everyday for adults. Night entertainment very good all round starts about 8:00 till 11:30 artistes from pubs in resort appearing. Hotel is just off the noisey main streets so its not a problem getting to sleep or far to walk back to at 3 in the morning. The square is a must to visit for a couple of nights out something for everybody live acts, discos ect, benny hills and manos worth a visit also. Palma novo just a short stroll away best place to buy your souveniers and treat yourself to a steak while looking out over the bay wishing that that speed boat was yours. Relax relax relax (wish i was still there)
went to vist the hotel for the fourth time this year at christmas, it was just as good as it has been for last 20 years of going there. the staff are fantastic with every one who goes there , and the food well what can i say, you will not get a more british style any where else in magaluff ( lots of imortations ) The rooms are cleaned every day with clean towels, bed linen, ect and you always see cleaners around the hotel all day long.
The christmas arangements for both old and young were excelent and if you did have a problem the public relations lady would fix it for you no mater what the problem was. All the people on the reception desk speak English so it's no problems there is it !
I would say to any person who was going to go to magaluff get in to the magaluff park hotel you will not be disapointed and you will have a fantastic time what ever time of the year you go.
When we got there the hotel was full so we got moved to another hotel called the sol guadalupe which was a pain as we couldn't unpack for the first night but we got 40Euros refunded in hotel vouchers.
The hotel was nice and clean with a mix of older people, families and young people like me.
The food was good with a choice of british and spanish food, the only thing i didn't like was the entertainment as i found it abit boring, i feel it was mean't for families to enjoy, though the entertainment staff were nice.
I just feel that more could of been done so that people could of mixed with each other easier.
we chose this hotel as we knew it was in a great situation. Just round the corner from the main strip but still quietly away from it. PR`s drive you mad but learn who their regulars are. We went in peak season, so dont expect a quiet holiday, the hotel attracts large groups of lads, who tend to be very loud after a full day and night drinking. Rooms were modernized up to floor 6 above were waiting to be done. Plenty hot water, rooms cleaned daily with soap, shampoo/conditioner and shower gel in the bathrooms. The safe is in the bedroom wardrobe very handy for a small charge. The pool was ok, not huge. You need to get down early for the sunbeds as by 9am they tend to all be gone. Food was ok, catering for every need as when we were there every nationality was staying.

we are 4 men going on a stag party with 20 younger men,we are all around 40 and would like somewhere clean and fairly decent but near to magalluf so we can meet up with the younger men
can anyone recommend any hotels that are not too noisy and fairly decent facilities
