Never again!

Arrived home from the Belsana Hotel after staying for nine nights, so glad to be home! It is the most noisy hotel we have stayed in. People banging doors children running riot, and most of all parents who are worse than the children! coming to their rooms after drinking most of the day, shouting and swearing. No wonder the kids are like they are.
The room was ok for two people and was cleaned every day. The food was what you can expect for a three star, we have had worse. The view from the room was great over looking the Med.
One last thing....watch out for Mosquitos and ants, me and hubby was bitten to death with the mites!

After readng the reviews we were very concerned about the hotel, on arrival at midnight we didnt take much notice only that the reception area looked ok.
The pool doesn't open until 9am and you need to queue on the stairs from about 8.45am if you want a sunbed or parasol, the poolside bar is very basic and extremley short staffed, food orders can take awhile, i advise you to order your snacks before you're actually hungry.
The food in the Belsana was avaerage, a decent choice for adults and children.
The Entertainment is appauling, we never stayed in the hotel after the first night, i would advise you have a walk, there's only a few bars but anything is better.
The square, which is about a 10 min walk, is good for kids who like trampolines and bouncy castle's and there is live music some nights.
The beach is lovely, get out the hotel and have a few days there, the Starfish boat trip is really good fun.
What I think spoil's the hotel is the people, bad language, litter left everywhere and very noisy at night, most people only there to drink as much alcohol as possible.
Remember, this is a basis 3 star, use the pool, have a few days at the beach and get out at night and you'll be ok.
The worst place I've ever been

We booked a ten day hoiliday at the Belsana through a company called Medinland through teletext holidays.
As a couple of young teachers, we were looking forward to a nice relaxing break away from children and some chilling out in the sun. The reviews that I had read pointed towards a quiet resort and reasonable hotel.
The hotel:
Reasonable room for two people in our room, though there were beds for four which would have been unbearable.
Every morning, the bathroom smelt of raw sewage and took ages to clear.
The lift noise on the sixth floor where we were was bloody annoying.
Watch out for children running riot in the lift and up and down the stairs - where were their parents?
The Food:
Good for the first three days but then we realised it was all the same old stuff - salads and chips every day with some other things that were often unidentifiable and always tasteless. I had what I thought were onion rings for two days and then discovered that they were squid!
Breakfast the meal of the day!
The Pool:
Oh dear! Up at half seven to try and get sun loungers as they all go by nine even though ones reserved are often never used at all.
The pool is completely full of children bombing all day which makes using it impossible. Some of the children were very foul mouthed and rude whilst their parents spend the days drinking as much all inclusive beer as possible.
The soft drinks were often flat and soapy.
I felt sorry for the bar staff having to put up with all the children with no manners whist having to serve in their working conditions.
The bar:
Like an airport departure lounge. Unloved and uncomfortable. Entertainment was dire - mini disco every night with the same tunes followed by bingo (people even brought their own bingo markers) and then some crap turn. Very smoky too.
The resort:
I knew it would be quiet but....
How do any businesses stay open? Dead, nothing to do, boring. Was recommended the Beez Neez pub on a website as a great night, we were the only people there and left at eleven!
We were ecstatic to get home.
To sum up...
If you want a holiday full of annoying, rude children, miserable and irresponsible parents, early mornings for sunbeds, crap food and lousy entertainment and absolutely nothing to do in the evenings, this is for you!
If not, I suggest, somewhere else - a weekend in Gt Yarmouth perhaps.
