Ibiza Express Mini-Train
This was a fun train with the design of Thomas the Train – the twins would have loved this. I found it parked in front of the Hotel Tres Torres by the beach in Santa Eulalaia…But, alas, I am alone in Ibiza and so it just so happened that there was a departure at about 230 PM and so I just sat in the train and waited for the driver who just took our payments. There is one passenger who was wheelchair-bound and one or two of the seats accommodate place for the wheelchair, but for most of the tour, they were not able to bring him down because most of the places were brought to were very nice but not wheelchair friendly.
Actually, the mini-train has several options for what kind of tour, but for that day’s 230PM tour, we did go around the Ibiza countryside, visiting the town of San Carlos and seeing an 18th century Church – there was a guide who explained everything. Then we were brought to a wonderful farmhouse from the 17th century, where I also got to crack an almond nut for the first time! And finally we ended at the beautiful beach called Niu Blau. Unfortunately, I thought that ours tarting point was walkable from the shore here and so I asked to be left behind. Big mistake because it was far since the coastline walk was cut short by the rocks and I had to go inland and walk somewhat further but found my way by asking directions. In a way it was fun though because I got some jumping pictures along the Eulalaia beach coasts, hehehe…
This cultural tour runs at 1030 on MWF and at 1530 on TThSatSun…but check their website to make sure.
On certain days, and you have to check this online, they do have tours for beaches and sunbathing to places like Es Canar, Playa Es Figueral, the fisherman’s cove Pou des Lleo, and have a view of the little island of Tagomago, enjoy the bay of Cala Boix, Cala Mastella and Cala Llenya….how about that for a list of beaches??? Hehehe…
From what I see in my brochure, this beach tour is available MWF at 1530 and TThSatSun at 1030…
