The journey here by road is probably the best thing about the place (we travelled from the Soller direction). The switchbacks are stunning although can become tiring to drive after some time. Don't come here if you are a nervous traveller as the sheer drops can be frightening, but the scenery is magnificent. The Mallorcan mountains are one of the most attractive part of this very popular island but most of the visitors are unlikely to make the effort to see them. Trust me, it's worth it.
