    I usually stay here and as the name suggests, right behind the theatre (by the bridge). Not the fancy modern place on the corner with pricey net access and so on.

    This place has smallish rooms (that I saw), but the price is great, and it is on the edge of the old town, with it's own underground parking. The people running it are very helpful and friendly- the Gran took me into the dungeon to show me where to park my motorbike; don't think she wanted a lift on the back.. Can't guess why.

    The parking was a major selling point to me of course, but it's position is a big factor too, not too much stumbling to do after experiencing the local social life.

    Best thing though (besides location) is the free wireless internet service.

    The fact that that this hotel has its own underground parking is fairly unique in Bilbao. The staff is really friendly and the rooms at the back are quiet. Anything is not utterly clean, but it is a good option for a night or two.

    This is a simple, more or less inexpensive hotel in a prime location in the Historic center of Bilbao. We had no reservations and when the first room we were shown was a bit more than we planned to spend, we asked for something a bit less costly and were rewarded with a perfectly serviceable double with a shower for about 55Euro. A bit warn about the edges, it is a fine budget choice for a night or two.

    There is free access to the internet in the hotel lobby. Internet is getting to be difficult to find as so many places have wifi connectivity. (Those of us who don't have a laptop or care to carry one around on a vacation are stuck looking for dwindling supplies of internet cafes, or hotels with free or inexpensive access.)
