Excellent choice for Bilbao
When Stevie and I walked through Bilbao I was keeping my eyes open for a nice, well located hotel that myself and Marianne could stay in after we had finished the walking part of the trip, This I spotted right opposite the theatre and very close to Bilbao FEVE station so I popped in, took a look and was impressed by the interior of this nice little hotel as well as its excellent location, So when we returned to Bilbao and stayed there.
“The Hotel Arriaga” Really Does have the Very Best of Recommendations from me, The rooms are of a very high standard, the location is excellent, handy for the old as well as newer parts of the city, a 2 minute stroll to the FEVE station (The RENFE station is just behind this)
A Very Nice En-Suite Double room is 54 Euro (+ tax making 57.58) with cheaper rooms also available for those on a really tight budget.
Friendly and Very Clean – What more could you ask for ??!!

Friendly Folks, Casco Viejo Location
This is a simple, more or less inexpensive hotel in a prime location in the Historic center of Bilbao. We had no reservations and when the first room we were shown was a bit more than we planned to spend, we asked for something a bit less costly and were rewarded with a perfectly serviceable double with a shower for about 55Euro. A bit warn about the edges, it is a fine budget choice for a night or two.
Unique Quality: There is free access to the internet in the hotel lobby. Internet is getting to be difficult to find as so many places have wifi connectivity. (Those of us who don't have a laptop or care to carry one around on a vacation are stuck looking for dwindling supplies of internet cafes, or hotels with free or inexpensive access.)

Central friendly hotel with carparking (payed)
The fact that that this hotel has its own underground parking is fairly unique in Bilbao. The staff is really friendly and the rooms at the back are quiet. Anything is not utterly clean, but it is a good option for a night or two.
