Barcelo Hotel Avenida

This hotel is really easy to get to if you use the Metro (Santutxu station). If you have the heebie-geebies about going underground, there is a Bilbobus stop a few yards away from the hotel entrance. The hotel room was spacious, clean and quiet. We were on a r/o basis and didn't bother using any other facilities, especially as the Spa area is extra and we wanted to tire ourselves in the city and not in the gym. The hotel has a modern air. The front desk staff were cordially professional, but did not effuse much warmth. I would stay here again because it was everything we wanted, 4 Star comfort with facilities, and charges applied, only if we required them.

I have just booked this hotel for March 2008 through lastminute.com (under their Top Secret category). I have received an excellent room only rate of £41.00 per room per night (double room). The hotel's website gives a best rate of Euros 75.00, so I would recommend my method of booking. I am pleased to read the good reviews on the level of service and look forward to an interesting 4 days in Bilbao.

Unique Quality: Value for money, 4 star hotel and excellent facilites. Ten minutes walk from the Guggenheim Museum.
