Husa Jardines de Albia, Bilbao, Spain - Reviews and Hotel Information

A 3- 4 star hotel situated in a lovely quaint street , five minutes from Old Town and the main drag Gran via Don Diego. Its a two minute walk to the riverfront and about five minutes to the Guggenheim Museum. Our room 622 was roomy and comfortable but nothing special. My partner was running a conference in the hotel. The restaurant was excellent with a good choice of food and wine.

Staff were slow expecially at the bar. We stood for fifteen minutes whilst woman spoke to her friend on the telephone, we eventually had to be rude to get some service. Breakfast room excellent with a variety of choices.

The health spa on bottom floor is impressive with its jet spa pounding on my back was fabulous. Stream and sauna rooms excellent and the turkish baths relaxing. A MUST to do if staying in this hotel.

PROS: Terrific position close to everything. Excellent value. Restaurants fabulous and health spa facilitity stunning.

CONS: Staff slow with chip on shoulders. Rooms ordinary but comfortable.

Recommendation: Yes for position and value. Spa/turkish baths.

WHAT TO DO: Guggenheim Museum. Old Town. Plaza Moyua. Department store Zubriate located near Paleacio de Congress. Visit village called Galdako outside Bilboa and eat at Andra Mari restaurant a fabulous Spanish Villa overlooking a beautiful scenery. Drive to Biarritz along freeway and then drive back coastal road - A MUST DO. Drive to Santander along coast road fabulous beaches and small romantic villages.

Eat at Tapelia Restaurant - riverfront a mouth watering experience.
Eat at Don Chan Cafe in town for lunch - 3 course meal with a bottle of red or white wine for 12Euros.
Eat at Lekeitio a impressive little cafe filled with unusual selection of food.
The ham and anchovies are incredibily delicious which turns a meal into dining experience and indulgence.
