Arzak

I have a reservation at Arzak for 2, but my travel partner can no longer make it. Is it worth going there, even if alone?

I have done Akelare and Zuberoa, and would do Arzak if I had to eat with one hand tied behind my back. ;-) Karl

I guess it all depends on how you feel eating alone in a restaurant.
I've not been to Arzak (yet) but it's on my wish list
I'd go there in any case (as Karl above). I'd prefer going with someone, but I would rather go alone than missing the experience.
However, I have friends who only enjoy the "social" part of eating out, they really do not enjoy the food if they are alone
So it's really up to you

Travel Tips for San Sebastián
Hondarribia

There are a lot of little villages near San Sebastian, not turistic, but really beautiful, that you can visit in a few time. One good exemple is "Hondarribia", close to the french border. The houses and the streets are really charmer. There's also exhibitions of paintings, and several culture acts. It's a village with culture life. If you go, you won't be disapointed.
Hi ha molts poblets a la vora de Sant Sebastià, que no són turístics, però que són realment bonics, que es poden visitr des e la ciutat en molt poc temps. Un bon exemple és Honadarribia, al costat de la frontera francesa. Les cases i els carrers són realment encantadors. Hi han exposicions de pintura, i diferents actes culturals. És un poble amb força vida cultural. Si hi aneu, no us decepcionareu.

Maybe these iron structures are not the prettiest things in the world but they do make it all a little more interesting.
You get some great views of La Concha from here too; it's a fanstastic place to take a lazy stroll to.

Several bridges cross river Urumea... One of them is Zurriola Bridge (close to river's mouth) in front of Palace of Congress Kursaal.
Varios puentes cruzan el río Urumea... Uno de ellos es el el Puente Zurriola, cerca de la desembocadura, frente al Palacio de Congresos Kursaal.

"AMAZING PLACE"
MY HUSBAND AND I ARRIVED IN SAN SEBASTIAN AFTER STAYING IN BILBAO FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS. WE WERE HEADING TO BIARRITZ BUT SAN SEBASTIAN WAS JUST TO AMAZING. WE STAYED FOR TWO NIGHTS BEFORE TAKING THE TRAIN TO LISBON. THE BEACHES ARE GREAT. PLAYA DE LA ZURRIOLA IS WHERE MY HUSBAND SURFED FOR THE FEW DAYS WE WERE THERE.
