    This hotel wasn't very well-maintained until the Westin chain took over. I remember the light switches were practically falling off the wall the moment I touched them. Now it is somewhat better. Still, a major renovation should be in the works, especially after the strike last September (2003). Rooms are much bigger than in Hotel Londres, with the Westin trademark "Heavenly Bed", the stay can be quite enjoyable. The front desk, the bar, the restaurant and the housekeeping are all very friendly and eager to help. The best rooms are those with "partial river view".

    I recommend trying the hotel's restaurant (Easo). It is surprisingly good. Bartenders make decent sangria.
