Camping at Monte Igueldo in San Sebastian
by Emke about Camping Igueldo
A bus is driving every half an hour from the camping to the Boulevard of San Sebastian and back for less than a euro (one way ticket). So no need for searching for a place to park your car, expensive car parkings or things like that. And is makes the camping very suitable for backpackers too. You can find the timetable for the bus at the reception.
The facilities are OK and the people are friendly. There is a bar where you can drink and eat something.
A place without electricity for two persons, a car and a tent costs 12,60 euros a night, that's a bargain isn't it? Well, these are the prices for the lower season, check their website if you want more info.

Summit of Monte Igueldo suggests an extra-ordinary aerial panorama of the Bahia de la Concha and the surrounding coastline and mountains of Guipu'zcoa.
The pictures show the amusement park [Parque de Atracciones].

Without a doubt the most photographed view of San Sebastian is from Monte Igueldo. You can walk to the top of the hill but the better option is to use the funicular located behind the tennis club.
As well as taking in the view during the day its worth taking in a night viewing also.

Mount Igueldo is the hill situated on the left end of Kontxa Bay; there is an amusement park on the top, and the famous sculptures "Wind combs" are situated at the base.

Hello everyone,
hopefully you lovely people can help me. My boyfriend and I are going to San Sebastian for 5 days and we need a nice pension or hostel to stay in that's quite cheap. Ideally clean and centrally located near a beach. Does anyone have any experience of ataying here and can recommend somewhere?
Thanks,
Kate

Hi!
you should visit the following site: www.donostia.org
You´ll find lots of pensions, and you can check in a map the location of the pensions. Think that Donostia is small, and if you choose a pension near the center, three beaches aren´t too far, about 10 minutes.
