Carlos Abaitua Albergue Juvenil: Hosteling International
Like most of the HI is clean and tidy. The price is around 21€ per night if you are older than 30 and 2-3€ cheaper for younger people. Breakfast included. (2009)
There are some things that I didn´t like too much:
- You have to enter in the hostal before 12:00 in the night because they close the doors.
- There is nobody in the office between 14:00 and 17:00 and after 22:00 until 9:00.
- It´s close from the university but far from the city center. About 15-20 minutes walking.
- There is a livinroom but the responsables close it at 21:30-22:00 until next morning so there is no social life and there is no possibility of watching TV at night. Really boring if you are traveling alone.
- The matres are not very confortable.
- There are not pubs nor shops in the area.

CAMAS MARI: CAMAS MARI
It's simple but it´s ok. Clean and tidy. With TV and shared bathroom.
The office is located in Francia street nº23 2nd floor center, but the bedrooms are 5 minutes walking, in Prudencio street nº6 in the 4th floor. Don't mistake, there is another pension in the 2nd and 3th floors in the same building, but it isn´t as good as this one. For further information about the other pension have a look in the tip PENSION ALZOLA.
Unique Quality: Just in fromt of the Artium, 2 minutes walking from the main bus station and close from the old town.

PENSION BALZOLA: PENSION BALZOLA
Is probably the worst place I have been in Spain, but it's enough if you just want to sleep.
The furniture was really old, from the 70s more or less, and worst is that it wasn´t clean. When you are paying for sth, the minimum is the cleanliness, it can be old, it can be small, it can be far from the city center, but it has to be clean, and IT WASN´T.
The rooms are provided by a washbasin and a TV. The toilets are shared, so they are out of the bedroom.
There is a better pension in the 4th floor in the same building, have a look in the tip CAMAS MARI.
Unique Quality: Just in front of the Artium and 2 minutes walking from the main bus station.
