More about Fiesta Hotel Paraiso Floral
Winter Sunshine

We have just returned from Tenerife after a very enjoyable holiday at the Fiesta Hotel Paraiso Floral. Most of us were in our 60's expect for one that was 83 years old. We found that the Hotel was basic and could have done with a bit of refurbishment but saying that we could not fault the Staff whether they were in the Dining Room or the Maids that cleaned our bedrooms every day even Dominic who was the life guard was very friendly and always had a cheery smile even when it was cold and very windy, they were all very friendly and helpful. The food we found to be first class always a choice for every meal. If we had any complaint it would be about the lifts, they were not the most reliable that I have used, with having an 83yr old with us at times it was difficult to get back to our bedrooms being on the 10th floor, he was able to walk down as he did on more than one occassion, but was unable to climb back to the 10th floor. Overall we all enjoyed our holiday.
Very Nice Hotel

We (four adults) booked a week's break at this hotel. First impressions were that the hotel was a little "tired", and I suppose it is. However: it was spotlessly clean and tidy; there was no flaking paint or ragged furniture. Room was very spacious with beautiful views of La Gomera. Now: the food: all four of us are particular on food quality. We frequently have meals out at very nice restaurants.. and conclusion... Paraiso Floral's food was FAULTLESS. Beautifully prepared/cooked and presented and a very varied range of dishes. Cold food was cold and fresh. Hot food was hot and fresh. Top-notch. If you can't find something to eat here then you must have very limited (or very strange) tastes in food.
Overall, the hotel was faultless. The resort was a little too quiet even for use middle aged folks. The shops were open regularly, but you could tell by the way packaging on goods had faded that they didn't sell much!
Would we return: definitely. Already looking for another visit this year.
Great for doing nothing

We booked a week's break at this hotel week of the 7 March 2006. The weather was excellent so we enjoyed a very lazy restful week. The Hotel has some 16 floors and even though we asked for something a little closer to the ground prior to arriving, we ended up on the 16th. For those with young children avoid at all cost the balcony safety leaves a lot to be desired and even we avoided getting too close. Throughout the week we wanted for nothing food was excellent with a good choice every day. For those who wished the bars were open at 1030am until midnight. If you want a beach then forget it rocks only. Restaurants’ are few and far between if you wish to change your venue during your holiday. Travel using the local bus service is good and very cheap with a trip into Los Christanious costing only 2 Euro. A taxi will cost you between 20-25 Euro but still cheap in comparison to UK. The staff were very helpful and courteous not allowing even the more professional winger to put them off. As a guest you are offered the use of the Lido which is a 2 minute walk away it offers a lot more than the very cold pool of the Hotel.
Entertainment throughout the day was provided by the onsite team providing everything from darts to French Bowls. At night, the European Bingo was an event in itself numbers called in six languages so plenty of time to ensure you had not missed a number. The entertainment that followed was very cheesy at times playing to the in crowd (but you could leave if you wished and sit in the outside bar) It also flagged at weekends with the day staff trying their best to entertain a varied audience.
Overall, a very clean Hotel with an excellent menu too suit all tastes but lacking in nightlife if you wanted it. Great for those who wish to do nothing else but soak up the sun and endless flow of food and drink.
awful
by A TripAdvisor Member
i have travelled far and wide but have never come across such rude people as the staff in this hotel. The bar staff especially need to be taught some customer service skills. It was so bad we went out every night to Rythymn and Booze pub up the road where we had a great welcome.
The food was terrible, no variety, always cold and not at all appetising.
Do yourself a faavour and pay a bit more to go somewhere else, it may be cheap but it is an awful place to stay.
great week away
by A TripAdvisor Member
family of 4 stayed week of the 18th April & had a great time, beds & towels changed daily, hotel spotlessly clean. staff really happy & polite especially on reception, bar staff always funny. The variety of food was brilliant,my kids were in their element, salads were amazing, always chips, potatoes & pasta every meal time, we had roast duck, roast lamb, roast pork, paella etc as evening mains, but there was always at least 4 other things to choose from like bolognaise, cold meats, fish etc, & a kids section ( fish or chicken fingers, burgers etc), tables cleared promptly. kids club not great, but did their best, swimming pool icy cold but o.k when in!! plenty of sun beds no need to rush down & put your towles out!. evening entertainment was always good but main events start at 10.15pm,before that is bingo (long winded as each number said in 6 languages! but prize is always over £100.) & the kids disco @ 8.30pm where they learn dances, the best act we saw were the drag kings Bitter & Twisted, Absolutely mega fab. Loro Park is worth a look ( on the North side, so wrap up warm) as is Aqualand & Los Christianos Sunday Market ( go early as it gets really busy) .if you are not looking for a 5 star palace & are happy to make the most of this hotel, you will really enjoy yourself.About an hours coach ride from the airport. No beach to go on but the Lido is nice, but cold as it is sea water, but it is still covered by the all inc.
AVOID (food poisining!!!) unless you are an CHAV
by TripAdvisor Member rara77
We have just returned yesterday from our 10 days all inclusive stay at this hotel. I am 29 and my husband 24 year old.
I have still not recovered from the food poisoning and spent the whole day yesterday vomiting at the airport, on the plane and coach home. I am writing this review ASAP so I can warn you.
The cleanliness - first thing we saw was hair everywhere on the floor in our room, also the cleaner comes everyday but just makes the bed and exchanges the towels, don't expect your toilet or bath to be cleaned (that happened only ONCE in 10 days), not to mention the terrace. But you will see loads of cleaners in the morning gathered downstairs; therefore you will get the impression of some cleaning being done.
The fan didn't work, few light bulbs too, no one has fixed it and we got tired of reminding this all over again.
The food - what can I say after 2 days of vomiting? No good. Check the cheese, desserts and mayonnaise sections, you will see flies laying their eggs there (we always tried to pick the bottom pieces). After few days only the smell of the food will make you sick.
The staff - The receptionist upon arrival was unbelievably rude, didn't answer our questions and told us to read the brochure and signs in the hotel to find our way. The bar staff is rude, no wonder if they are dealing with guests as explained below.
The entertainment – was quite good, I have to say, more than I expected.
HOWEVER please go there if you are a chav and have at least 3 noisy kids!! You will love it and make some great friends as the hotel will be full of people like yourselves. You can let your kids get you a drink, no one will refuse them and they can scream and run around until at least midnight!
The only good place was the Lido, it was too far for chavs to go as it is probably 5 min walk and they like to be together, stuck by the small swimming pool at the hotel so we stayed at the lido most of the time.
I don't have high standards, I expected poorly furnished hotel more of a 2 star (I got that) so that is not the point. You can not compromise on the cleanliness. Also the insects on the food, that is unacceptable (obviously I didn't dig deep enough for the right pieces). I will contact our tour operator immediately and demand an explanation.
Would love to write some more but have to go and throw up now so if you excuse me. In the mean time, please spend your holiday somewhere else
Good - for the price
by A TripAdvisor Member
Overall considering the price we paid this was a good choice. We were age 69,62,42,35,5,3,1. We had requested a low floor due to small children but got allocated the 11th floor (of 16). However we were promptly moved to 3rd when we asked. If you want a quieter room I'd ask for one at the front of hotel as the rear overlooks the mini golf where the children gather in the evenings.
The rooms were clean spacious and basic. A broken light bulb was fixed on first request as was a stiff tap! Beds meade daily and towels changed but I wouldn't call it a full clean (sand still on floor etc some days.) Hotle overall seemed clean but a little tired
Food better than I'd expected. Salads were great, reasonable choice for veggies and kids, always a choice of meats. Desserts were always jelly, creme caramel, mousee and a cream cake with varing topppings. Fruit available but of mixed quality and lots of it tinned. Dried fruit nuts, soup, cold meats and cheese, pastries. Always chips and another potato. Picnics available but consist always of tin pate, tin tuna in oil rolls fruit and cake. You can get a veggie alternative with a salad sandwich and cheese but often no cake in those. Bottle of water also included. In summary most people will find something quite easily each meal even if your a little bored by the end of the holiday.
I was worried about the pool being cold but it really wasn't too bad. A cautious entry allowed even the most cold blooded to stay in 15 - 30 mins at a time. Couldn' tget the kids out. The lido is quieter but a bit colder.
Evening entertainment a bit cheesey especially the nights done by the in house team. Kids club with thompson was great, Fiesta's own a bit more hit and miss with some questionable security for little un's ie they let them wander back to you from wherever they are rather than wait to be colllected. Also large groups for one supervisor.
The first week we were there was fine, the second a bit of a nightmare as it was half term. When full (of at least I hope they can't fit anymore in) long queues for the bar, lack of seating in the main lounge, unable to keep the food topped up at breakfast quick enough, finding a table in restaurant tricky. Kids shouting and screaming on the minigolf til 1130 at night. it did feel a litttle butlins like! None of it serious but all a little testing. Best to go out a bit.
Water park was good (don't buy the DVD it's got no commentary just music and its only 14 minutes), Jungle park ok and quite shady, mount Teide interesting but be cautious of the altitude at the top. We all felt a bit lightheaded and headachey afterwards. No beach locally but the nearest part of Playa del las Americas was nice.
In all for a cheap AI it was definately worth it the first week, but I'd avoid school hols unless you adore the blackpool mentality.
you get what you pay for
by TripAdvisor Member rosscos
Not that it was anyones fault but the sun only shone for 2 days out of the 2 weeks which made us depend on the hotel and it's services more to keep our family entertained. From arrival to departure the staff ( apart from the entertainmaint staff ie. at nights and the reps) were fiercely rude and very unhelpful. The food was ok by Spanish standards but apart from chips with every meal, literally, it could've been alot better.
The " Snacks" stopped at teatime and after dinner finished at 9pm you couldn't get anything to eat. Considering most people were up until at least midnight we ,plus alot of others , ended up getting snacks during the day from the supermarket to eat at night. Also had to buy bottles of water as even though it was an all inclusive hotel , you had to PAY for your water unless you wanted it from the tap ! Ended up spending hundreds and hundreds of pounds on food and travel to enjoy the stay as the food and activities were poor at the hotel.
The list could go on for ever, from the very overpriced car hire(got it for more than half their price down the road!) to the pool which was bloody freezing every day to the morgue like staff to the room having linen and towels changed daily but not washed or cleaned once in 2 weeks even after asking ! . This hotel is an example of getting what you pay for, will be a reminder not to go on a cheap holiday again as it was a waste of a couple of grand !
Hell on Earth
by TripAdvisor Member Imperium
My wife and I and two kids spent a fortnight in Hell, sorry this hotel and I thought Id never say this, but we were never so glad to get back to rainy Portrush!!
Where do I start? On arrival the receptionist was less than helpful, any questions were responded to with grunts, god love her, you'd think her face would crack if she smiled! All the staff were ignorant and quite rude at times( bar the entertainment staff) e.g my son was getting a bowl of soup and was pushed by a waitress and told to move which resulted in his hand being scalded! Which leads us onto the food. What can I say? Terrible is too good a word, dining times were like a cattle market, with pushing and shoving and when you eventually got to your food you had to fight with the flies to get it. Everything was luke warm, including milk for cereal. For the first week I lived on salads and snacks from the local shop and the second week we ended up eating out, which really contradicts the 'all inclusive' experience.
The hotel itself was shabby and could do with a coat of paint or a few pounds of gelignite, whichever you'd prefer. our room was cleaned every day, or should I say doused in bleach every day, which lead to a number of items of clothes being destroyed, but hey, they changed our towels every day, well changed them possibly with our neighbours as they were always either filthy or stinking of bleach.
It ruined our holiday, and I can honestly say I'll never be in Tenerife again. The only saving grace from the holiday was the couple we met from Islandmagee, you know who you are, if it wasn't for them the holiday would of been a complete disaster, thanks T & G and kids

We have just returned on fri 07 jul. The weather for the first 5 days was cloudy so that didnt get our hol off to a good start. The food was really nice, and the staff were very pleasant too. There is not alot to do at this hotel as the area is still up and coming. We had a car hire and the scenery was fabulous when your able to travel about independantly! The hotel is very clean although it is in need of a trendy makeover. I would recommend this hotel to families with children, as they do enjoy the night entertainment, it is not a place for those who are seeking a peacful and quiet holiday. All in all we had a good holiday, it wasnt the best ever, but we did have a good time thanks to all the friends we met. hiya LLinos, craig, tracey, wendy, david, jackie, amos, coran (mary doll),stevie, janice and rab!
