Any idea what the current exchange rate for sterling in the Adeje region of Tenerife is at the moment? Is it perhaps getting euros before we go?
Just check any of the sites where you can get the updated rate of change for any currency. This one is the one I use: http://www.xe.com/ucc/
Tenerife, as any other part of Spain....just use the "legal" exchange rate. Banks show that rate every day in their windows, and hotels and exchange houses may charge a small fee.
If you get euros in your country, and you don´t expend them all...they are going to get some money from you again when you change them into sterling. If you do the change in Spain...you can calculate more acurately how much you need. that is just my opinion.
Many thanks for your prompt reply to my query. I will follow up on your comment.
ATMs are the way to go.
I have checked oanda.com and I really like that website. Thanks Pedmar!
