Aguamar is lovely. It is clean and has a nice pool area. Usual sunbed hogging goes on, but that's a problem with a lot of Brits, not the hotel itself. Rooms were spacious and extremely clean. Reception and maid staff were really friendly.
Only giving it 4 because the Restaurant food and service were really quite bad. Food was cold and on my third and last attempt at breakfast, the scambled eggs were crunchy! Bar staff a bit misurable and unfriendly.
Kids loved the pool and other facilities (play area + crazy golf).
Going back again this year, and only not staying here because it's a bit quiet for the kids. We need something more lively in terms of organised cheesy entertainment.

Arrived back from tenerife last nite after a week staying at the aguamar with my partner, our son who is 7 and my 14 yr old & her friend,stayed for a week with no problems what so ever..after reading a few of the reviews before hand i was a bit worried but i shouldnt of worried..the hotel was lovely & clean,room was great with a lovely view of the pool...pool was cold but kids didnt mind..there is a jaccuzi on the roof terrace which was lovely & warm,views from up there were amazing...computers,mini golf,soft play area for the babies...one down side it would of been better if there had been entertainment of a nite....not a lot to do of a nite for the kids to do other than sit in pubs watching kareoke...days were better...went to aqua park which worked out expensive for 5,about 90euros,had to pay for beds,lockers & rubber rings,but was a good day,also u can pay extra & kiss dolphins & have photo taken with them which is good..one not to be missed was the jungle park it was same price but was brilliant,bird show was great,we were there all day,great day not to be missed....go-karting is good also only 10min drive away....we hired a car for a week,but beware,not a lot of signposts telling u where to go,what should of been a 10min drive took us an hour at one point,but was a nice sight seeing adventure for us.....try porkies over the back of hotel,next to the netto,a wonderful roast dinner.....if u like chinese,the best has to be "many stars",never had such a lovely buffet chinese.......weather bit dodge,had some lovely days of sun,bit chilly of a nite time so take a warm cardi & wear trousers....overall a great holiday & great hotel....
Clean and basic

This Hotel is clean and basic. The apartments have a small bedroom, a bathroom and a lounge/kitchen. Yes it is a little noisy there is very little soundproofing between the rooms and the bars opposite do stay open late/early. The pool area does get busy and there are a lot of children, so this hotel is good for families. If you are looking for a peaceful hotel where you just want to sit around the pool all day then perhaps this is not the place for you. If you are a family looking for a family friendly hotel or a couple who just want a base and somewhere to sleep for the night then this hotel could be good for you.
Rock hard beds

Apartment was on the third floor overlooking the pool. Room was compact and clean. First problem was getting into the room, as the floor had been "renovated DIY styli" with laminate which didn't fit around the door. The maid sorted it after she had a bit of trouble getting in herself.
Unfortunately our room didn't get the sun on the balcony as it was in the corner of the building. Did get some mild noise from the bars across the way, turned out to be least of the problems compared to the rock hard beds! Great if you want no sleep and like getting up early.
Location was okay, handy for bus station, netto supermarket but was a bit isolated. Good selection of restaurants in Los Cristianos a good 10 minute walk.
Will remember the Aguarmar apartments for the rock hard beds.
Really Nice Apartments

Stayed in a lot of apartments all in different countries and this is by far the cleanest and most modern one. However the bathroom's could still do with an upgrade but it was not a problem. Excellent value for money. The pool area was nice but it was getting busy and it was only early May, think it would be a nightmare in high season. Lots more sunbeds up on the roof with the jacquzzi but no real shade, great for those of you who can cope with the sun. Bars all close by but it is a nice walk down by the harbour and some really great places to eat particulalry at the restaurant just near the square. Would I return to here, absolutely!
