    Cheap n Cheerful

    by

Initial reactions were a bit dubious about the place, but definitely had one of our best holidays! We were given a 1st floor apartment in a quieter area well away from the nightly "entertainment" (which I think makes a big difference!) as there was a rep screeching into a mic every night with a voice that could strip paint .. not really my idea of fun! Fine if you've got kids maybe?!

We found the apartment to be pretty spacious and the balcony was great, although yes you can see right into next door's as well! It comes with all you could need and was very well kept and was cleaned most days. It was a wee bit lacking in decor, but you don't really go on holiday to stay in the apartment all the time... Air conditioning would have been good, but we took our own fan, which was cheaper than hiring one for the week.

We didn't spend a lot of time at the complex, tried a day by the pool, but with loads of kids running about and constant rubbish music through speakers all round the pool, we didn't stay there for more than an hour! It was always good for a beer at the pool bar after we'd been out for the day though.

We don't usually go to the same place twice, but I wouldn't hesitate to come back. I would consider staying at the Oasis Dunas again, as it was a nice enough hotel, as long as it was well outwith the school holidays...

I wouldn't necessarily recommend the apartments, but they are cheap and basic, so are good as a base for exploring the island. You get what you pay for!

Directions: Across the road from the water park.

splashing pool

Just returned back a few hours ago and i am missing the place already. Oasis dunas hotel undoubatly has the best pool i have ever seen!

The beautiful apartments are set in lovly gardens and are clean and vibrant looking.

I visited over xmas of 2004 and the hotel staff in the reception the bars the restraunt and even the entertainers were very welcoming and really made the place feel xmassy.

The Tucan restraunt is a must and the food is superb! i would reccomend the grilled salmon as it is wonderful.

Oasis dunas is situated in a calm and peacful area of corelejo but on the other hand it is only a 5 minute walk to the town centre which has a selecton of shops and bars/restraunts.

I would tru;y reccommend this hotel to any 1 wanting to get away from it all and have a lovly clean entertainment filled holiday in the sun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AN EXCELLENT HOLIDAY BY ALL

Fantasic Hotel, Great for Families

We got back from the Oasis Dunas last night and the reason I am on the PC is see if I can book another holiday ASAP! The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The pool(s) are superb and there's a water park right opposite. Happy hour and the children's entertainment is great! It's close enough to the town but not too close to the "british pubs". The beaches are great and it's a short taxi ride there (about 2 pounds). Our only real complaint was that the day-time company reps (Airtours in our case) were not the most eager of helpers and seemed to be content to fob us off with "can't help I am afraid" or "sorry, yeah it's awful isn't it". However, when booking excersions they seemed to rapidly come to life.

The place has a great restraunt (the waiters were lovely with the kids) and two nice pubs (one adultish and one family orientated). It's own supermarket which sold real milk! What a god send as we took our 17 month old baby with us.

The Airtours entertainers Mickey, Ben Apple and Yohan (the barking mad surfer) were brilliant and made the kids feel really special in the Kids Disco show every night.

Great place!

LOVED IT!

Just got back from the oasis duna 2 days ago and we loved it. the complex its gorgeous and the gardens well kept. pool is amazing, and massive! weather was nice although if u go in the winter like we did prepare for a bit of wind and take a jacket for the evening ....... great location only 5 mins walk from high street which had something for everyone. we love the poco loco restauraunt and went 3 times in our 1 week stay. apartment basic and very clean with brill view. there is aslo a new wqaterpark which opened just before we arrrived which is about a 2 min walk.
Loved rock cafe on the high street where they had live music. hotel entertainment is focused around small children. prices in the onsite supermarket are quite high so syick to one of the cheaper ones on the high street.
id say this is one of the best hotel/apartments ive visited, loved every minuite and cant wait to go back in june!!!

not for teenagers or anyone really

the oasis duna is for kids not if ure aged between 15 and 18, the reps are a pain and u hav to pay extra for tv (30 euros per week!, also it takes ages to find yur room , the walls are made of paper, as for) the entertainment if u could call it that should be recorded and played to interogate terrorists the reps cant hold a note, also if ur room is on the bottom floor u may get flooded in the slightests bit of rain. the beaches are 5 metres long full of rubbiosh aznd goat poo, the food inside the hotel is crap and gives u food poisoning i was lucky tho but my parents and brother were poisoned. the island itself is a bore there is more atmosphere in a graveyard, im glad im only staying a week. im writing this now inside the hotel , thats how bored i am. cant wait to go home to be with people my age. the pool also is freezing and closes at 630

take my advice and dont go here, the reps made a joke about, having fun were not in Skegness, id rather be there

What has all the fuss been about?

by A TripAdvisor Member

After booking the holiday in August this year I then read the reviews a couple of weeks before going on the 13th Nov. I must admit I was a little aprehensive!

I had nothing to worry about.

The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed, and any problem was resolved quickly by the english speaking 24hr reception.

The pool was open, but cold and the bottom was slippy as it had just been painted.

The Airtours entertainment team was excellent and Mark, Micky and Linzie are there until the end of January.

Try La Tasca on the main street its a grill and pizzaria and very reasonably priced.

All in all, excellent and don't worry about anything until u get there and then they would sort it!

Cheers

Great Holiday !!!!!!

In our party there were 11 of us (4 couples and 3 men) and we had 5 rooms which were spotless and superb. On the complex there was loads to do including tennis, volleyball and basketball. Now the pools they were fantastic and massive. The people at reception were helpful and friendly aswell.
The bars and restaraunt were good aswell with one of the bars having a big screen for the footy. We all had a laugh at the waterpark across the road (Baku) 18 euros entrance fee well worth it and it opened November 2004.
A 10 minute walk takes you into town with loads of bars and restaraunts. The best breakfast was at Penny Lane where Eileen and staff knocking up a great full english breakfast.
We are all returning next year in May. Adios

had a fabulous family holiday

by A TripAdvisor Member

We spent 2 weeks in a 2bed first floor apartment april 2004. The apartment was clean, spacious and clean towels and linen regularly supplied. The balcony was areal sun trap. Poolside was a great hit with our 3 kids (4,6,8) but we did hire a car and tour the island. We had an excellent holiday and would recommend these apartments to anyone.
