Las Olas: Great resort hotel

I found the Parador del Hierro is great for a romantic getaway. It is nothing luxurious, but its location is spectacular, right by the sea on a bay with dramatic cliffs and far away from any sign of civilization. The capital, Valverde, is a 3o min. ride away, and that is not but a really small town. The scenery, like in the rest of the Canaries, is out of this world, only that there are almost no tourists around. That means you can find the island too quiet, and that the choice of tourist services (restaurants, clubs...) is fairly limited.

Tourito Princess: Great 4 start hotel

7 nights half board. Food good, Pools good, staff friendly and helpful. Rooms big and clean. Entertainment poor. If you want to get awat from it all yet be in the warm sun this is great place to go. No too many kids around either.

Great view of the sea from all rooms. Very clodse to the beach. Two swimming pools (One heated Nov-Apr.)

The Royal Sun Club: The best of Tenerife

I've been here in 2000, 2002 & 2003. These appartements are the best you can find on Tenerife.
The appartement is very large, with a very very very large terrace, the sun always shines, do you need any more?
It's also very clean (no insects!) and luxe. Too bad that it can not be booked in the Netherlands anymore, otherwise i had will celebrate my vacation in The Royal Sun until i died.
Where else can you see whales in front of your balcony?

The vieuw is really magnificent. You can see the island of La Gomera in front of you and when the sky is not cloudy you can see La Palma on your right.
The sunsets are really the best!
There are two pooles, a night club, and a great a la carte restaurant.
When we were there a care was included. When it's not, you have to hire one because it's the most highest appartement of Los Gigantes. What we like the most is that you have a lot of privacy at The Royal Sun Club.
Maybe it sounds strange, but i was very pleased to find out that there are not many people of the Netherlands.
Don't forget to feed the fishes in the harbour, you might see a turtle in the water, i did!

Club Hotel Bahia Meloneras: Bungalows

This is a new hotel in Maspolomas. Its a little bit away from the city center but its just a short distance. The hotel is great! Cute houses with everything you need. Service is good.

They have a swimmingpool, restaurant and a supermarket. The restaurant is cheap, but ice cream is very expensive. However, you might want to concider shopping somewhere else then in the hotels supermarket as it is very expensive. Eurospar in the downtown is quite cheap. The hotel is close to the beach. In the lobby is a computer (I am writing this there ;) ) 8 mins for 0.50€ - 16 mins for 1€ and 32 mins for 2€.

Overall this is a very good hotel with everything you need and what you do not need is only a short distance away!

The rooms are small. Go right before the high tourist season.

rent a car and watch out for the high cliffs with no railing.

My favorite accomodation is www.bancotel.com you get bonus to stay in diferent hotels (3,4 starts) for only 50 euros the double room per night, great value and quality!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
