Miles of Endless Beauty
by Nixter01
It is an absolute MUST that anyone visiting this unspoilt island, must take a trip around the Whole of the island. The villages you find set back in the hills, and in the centre of Fuerteventura are amazing. The scenery is breath taking, you can not ever imagine that 2000ft up and half-way inland there are people living in such remote places. They are Very friendly, warm and extremely helpful, oyu just don't want to leave! My fondest memory of this beautiful place is the miles of golden sands, with its crystal clear waters, the tiny silver fish that swim through your feet as you stare down and the endless rugged lanscapes of the volcanoes that were once millions of years ago. I wish i could wake up to that view every morning, because its just heaven on earth.
Lots of bare skin

It's worth noting before you book up your holiday that on most beaches here it's perfectly acceptable, and not at all unusual, to find people naked. Don't expect them all to be ex-stars of Baywatch either! Many are quite elderly and a lot heavier, I'm sure, than in their youth, so peeping-Toms will be disappointed. However, I'm sure they're all perfectly pleasant people and if you are offended by them then you might want to consider going elsewhere. It's a free world. (Well, mostly.)
Beaches in the town areas such as those within Corralejo itself, and those immediately adjacent to the large hotels, are mostly not treated as "clothing optional", though topless sunbathing is still commonplace there too. If you DO find yourself going to Fuerteventura and worried about stumbling over naked people on the beach, stick to these areas or the hotel pools.
Suncream - lots of!!!!!
by Kristymamoo
Bring a hat. I don't normally bother coz I've got really thick hair so sun on my head doesn't usually bother me. But, I got sunburn on my head and now it's peeling - NOT Pretty!!!!
Also, if you want to get off the main tracks make sure you take some good shoes. The ground is very rough and loose - NOT flip-flop friendly!!!! It's really hot!! The high winds here though lull you into a false sense of security by cooling you down a bit so it's really easy to burn.
