    Guest feedbacks:
We stayed for a second time at Casa Chorlitas as we liked it so much first time round. We love to windsurf and surf and Lajares is a great place to access all the spots on the North Track as well as Correlejo and Cotillo. We enjoyed some epic wavesailing at Majanicho and great surfing at many spots on the North Track. There was also good snorkelling and swimming in the safe bays just to the north of Cotillo. The appartment was comfortable for the three of us and Claudio and his family were very friendly and accommodating..We also enjoyed the friendly and social atmosphere in Lajares - U-turn is a great bar within walking distance and the patisserie 'Goloso' does amazing cakes and coffee. There is also a supermarket in Lajares to stock up on groceries. We look forward to staying at Casa Chorlitas in the future. Thanks again Claudio,
    Kathryn, Matt & Jenna

We had a very pleasant time at your appartment. The appartment was very clean and cosy, with all the comforts we could ever wish. We also enjoyed the garden: to sit there in the sun was very relaxing. Lajares is also a nice little village! We don't like crowdy places (like when you go to the Costa Brava), so this was a good place to be! When we ever go back to Fuerteventura, we will definitely be back! Cheers,
    Jelle and Kim.

Hotel Faro Jandia, Fuerteventura: Luxury Holiday
  • Satisfaction:
  • I stayed at Hotel Faro Jandia over Christmas, wanting to avoid Christmas in the UK. Apart from a couple of people walking around with Santa hats on Christmas Morning and the Christmas Tree in the main Ballroon I really wouldn't have known it was Christmas.
The weather was beautiful, Sunbathed everyday. The hotel was very nice, clean and near the shopping centre. I was very impressed with my room but apparantly the higher floor you are on the rooms and amenities get better. I have dressing gowns and slippers in my wardrobe There was a Mini bar, a fruit bowl on arrival, balcony with table an chairs. TV and hairdryer and really comfortable beds.
A visit to the Spa is a must even just to the pool, there is a Gym,sauna, steam room and treatments available.
The hotel food was amazing lots and lots of choice, well cooked and fresh, breakfast on the sun terrace is a must. The Entertainment was of good standard too. The only downside to the whole hotel was the slow service of the staff, but when in Fuerteventura.......................

Really nice hotel, Nice pool, nice spa, excellent Food.

    Club Jandia Princess: Jandia's best?
  • Satisfaction:
  • I'd certainly recommend this hotel. The service was without fault, it has 5 pools, sauna, a miniclub, various bars and restaurants. I chose the all included option, which was great value for money. There are plenty activities every day, though they're a little german and british guests oriented... Also it has a direct access to the beach, so if you're willing to walk you can go all the way to Morro Del Jable, 4 to 5 Km south.

Bahia Grande Aparthotel, Las Playitas: A Very Pleasant Surprise.....
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • We didn't really know what to expect from this hotel before we arrived. When we eventually found it (it was very dark when we arrived), we were a bit concerned that we might feel a bit isolated as we seemed to be miles from anywhere. What a fantastic surprise the next morning though....

The views were stunning!!! The hotel was gorgeous and the resort was just beautiful. We had arrived at a golf/spa resort - which we wouldn't have ordinarily chosen, but we got a good deal - set in the most amazing surroundings. To the front of the hotel was the ocean, and we were surrounded by mountains - the contrast was stunning. The whole resort was set in beautiful gardens - it was just a gorgeous place to be.

This resort not only had facilities which made it ideal for families, but it also had everything that you would want at a conference venue - nice bars/restaurants, open, airy conference lounge, golf course and spa treatments etc. It just seemed to be perfect for everyone.

For a family holiday this hotel wouldn't have been an obvious choice but it was fantastic. it has a lovely pool (salt water), a paddling pool with fountain for small children and a further pool with a giant water slide. The pool layout was also fantastic with more than enough sunloungers so you could find quiet if you wanted to, while still being close to the pool. The pool bar had a fantastic selection of food on offer from luchtime as well as serving coffe/croissants in the morning and ice-creams throughout the day. They were also more than happy to adapt the menu to cater for childrens fussy habits. Mine didn't like "that green stuff" on the pizzas (oregano!).

For evening meals there were four restaurants to choose from. We ate in the Spanish restaurant one evening (La Bodega) and it was gorgeous!!!! We chose to sit outside on the terrace to eat so the children could go off and play. The setting was lovely.

The children's entertainment in the evening was all in German, but it was fun and Lucy loved joining in with the singing and dancing. Children's activities also took place in the pool daily - from swimming lessons to water-polo.

The hotel also had it's own private beach, watersports centre, gym, cinema, nightclub, tennis-courts, mini-golf & supermarket. Basically, it is was the type of resort you would never have to leave if that's what you wanted from a holiday.

    El Caleton: An Apartment Apart
  • Satisfaction:
  • About a mile north of the tiny fishing village of El Cotillo is El Caleton, an building with twelve apartments. It is off the grid, so a diesel generator runs from 0830 to 1230 then from 1730 to 2400. Water is also trucked in, so use it sparingly. Our room had two bedrooms, was basic but clean, and was steps away from a beautiful but rugged beach. There are "lagos", tidal pools where the waves don't reach and are swimmable even by small children, but heaven help you were you to get into the surf. No phone, no TV, only you and your partner with the waves to drum you to sleep.

Walk to the beach a few feet away. Expect nudity, or partake yourself. The wind is strong but there are numerous shelters built from the pumice stones that turn a brisk day into a warm sunny one, as well as privacy for the shy nudist. To the inland side, desert and rock. Don't come here expecting a boardwalk or even many other tourists.

    Castillo Beach Sol: Nice apartments
  • Satisfaction:
  • This was the first place that i stayed when visiting Caleta. I have since been back there for a second time. Basic apartments but in a nice setting up on the hill overlooking the resort. With 4/5 swimming pools it was never too busy. About a 10 minute walk down to the resort and beach...although a bit of a trek back up the hill in the evening.

Good views, plenty of swimming pools and an on site mini market(bit over priced i think)

  • These are apartments near the centre of the resort with only a couple of minute walk to the beach front. Also only a couple of minute walk to the bars, restaurants and shops. Set in nicely planted garden with 2 swimming pools.
