Hiking guide for Lanzarote
by Pijlmans
As a hiking guide we used the Deltas Wandelgids Lanzarote & Fuerteventura.
This little book describes 17 hikes on Lanzarote (and 13 on Fuerteventura). The book is in Dutch, translated from the German Lanzarote & Fuerteventura by P. Grimm.
The hikes are very detailed, with clear starting points, lengths and difficulty of the walks.
Hope it is available in your language as well!
Did the moon fall to earth...

When you are driving around Lanzarote it is overwelming just how rocky and barren much of the island is. This might sound bleak but it is a whole different experience and just blows you away when you are there
James Del Aqua has a great nightclub
by rachel_sun
As i followed the path,it opened up into a beautiful made made lake. And at the top of the Jameos is a musuem of science that has loads of things on volcanic activity
Tuesday,Friday and Saturday are the nights when the nightclub is open.Do go here as i found it a great day out and a very strange and beautiful place.. I visited Teguise too when i hired a car.Teguise is quite small but i found the street and square very pretty.I found it very pleasant with beautiful little streets and scenic buildings.Teguise has many nice plazas. The main square has a church which the top is white. There are lots of white buildings around and beautiful palms etc.On Sunday there is a huge market. It starts at 9am and finishes around 2pm or so.This market is very popular and one of the biggest around.People are bought in by the bus load and all the streets are full of stalls and shoppers. Its a bright and happening atmosphere and i really enjoyed it.But if you dont like crowds avoid it as it gets extremely busy.
Puerto del Carmen

This is Lanzarote's main resort but is still nice and tasteful. It has 5km of sandy beaches and a great choice of places to eat and drink. Its a great place to stay to visit all the other sites of the island. Its mostly newly built and built for tourism. They kept to Cesars wishes here and kept everything low rise and white washed. The Old Harbour is very nice and still used by local people and i really liked it here. The square next to harbour was full of local people when i went .
The main beach is called Playa Blanca and is beautiful, very long yellow sand.Along here you can walk along a nice path which has pleasant gardens to one side and see bars and restaurants lined up the other side of the road. This is the area to come at night. It has clubs and discos and is full of life.I had a meal here one night and loved the atmosphere. Restaurants around the harbour had great fresh caught fish and i remember eating grilled tuna with garlic and canarian potatoes washed down with some great dry white wine from Uga.Heaven.
Aids for the Disabled
by mustertal
I wasn't sure where to put this, but it's about Hire for Disability aids, like wheelchairs, hoist , high toilet seats and so on.
We hired an electric wheelchair for 2 weeks. The service was excellent and the wheelchair was delivered to our apartment and collected.
