View from the bedroom balcony by ncfg Is a 3 stars hotel and is located at a quite residential zone, 2km from the beach. The inconvenience was that you have to take a bus to go to the beach. The bus service it was free of charge. Each bedroom has a bathroom, TV and phone.
There is a swimming pool, a saloon and a coffee bar . Theme: HotelComparison: about averageAddress: C/ Isla de la Gomera, s/n. Urb.Guacimara. Pto de la CruzPhone: 922374531

Pool area at Chipeque. by GrantBoone This is a great place to stay if you are going to Los cristianos. Good priced rooms, 1 bed apartments, swimming pool and restaurant. Its a 10 minute walk to the beach and main town.

shrimps by Helga67 The hotel has five restaurants serving regional and international cuisine. If you have booked your meals in advance, you will eat at las Mimosas, a big restaurant where the food is served in buffet style. El Patio is one of the restaurants with a very good reputation for excellent food. Sol Melia Puerto Playa by easyoar We stayed in this hotel on a half board basis for a week (a last minute deal so quite a good price). Apparently the hotel is 4 star, although it could do with a little renovation in places, although that isn't to say we didn't feel well looked after there (not that we spent much time inside it!). The breakfast and evening meal are buffets, eat as much as you like. You pay extra for all drinks. The food does get a little repetitive however, so I can imagine a lot of people deciding to have the odd evening meal elsewhere. They have two computers with internet access which I think I remember as being 2 Euros for half an hour, and 3 Euros for a hour (you don't have to use it all at once) and they feel quite quick. Generally any extras they charge for seem to be charged fairly as opposed to the usual hotel rip-off prices for extras. All in all, not bad. The photo shows how close the hotel is to the Playa Jardin and the Castilla. The hotel is the white building with green balconies.

Main patio (pic from their website) by agarcia The most emblematic, expensive and elegant hotel of Tenerife could be found well hidden into the narrow streets of Garachico village. The prices (well beyond 100 € per night) are totally beyond my current possibilities, though if I ever become disgustingly rich in my lifetime (an unlikely event, I'm afraid) I will definitely give it a try.
Its location in the center of Garachico, its absolutely fabulous decoration, the tranquillity of its patio.

Hotel Plaza by steventilly This hotel looks a lot better inside than it does out. Set in a modern, concrete block on the side of the main square it doesn't look at all attractive from outside. Inside it is clean, comfortable and has large rooms. The staff are friendly and helpful too. Breakfast is included and is a hot/cold buffet type and was very pleasant if unspectacular. The location is perfect, set as it is on the main square. The nightlife and shopping of Santa Cruz is just outside the door and the bus station is about 10 minues walk. It's more of a business hotel than tourist and has no pool. Jardin Tropical by Helga67 There are two swimming pools. There's a tropical free shaped heated fresh water swimming pool with waterfall in the tropical garden. And at the beach club, on the other side of the promenade near the ocean, there is a swimming pool with salt water built in 1990 when we were there. A very well presented medium sized apartment block set up a fairly steep incline but no more than 5 minutes from a huge beach! A well maintained complex with lovely exotic plants growing everywhere. There is a fabulous good sized heated pool with a snack bar but the usual early morning sun lounger reserving was necessary to stake your pitch! Receptionists were polite, friendly and helpful. All that we requested was quickly sorted with no problems (extra bedding, TV hire, taxis etc.) They will happily book a return taxi to the airport when required too. Internet access, safety deposit boxes, pool tables, electronic darts board, in room televisions are all available for a reasonable fee. The food and gift shop within reception area was not open throughout our stay so I can only assume it's seasonal. A Pilates centre is attached to the complex too offering all kinds of well-being body treatments. We had a 1 bedroomed apartment for 3 of us for 6 days in December. It was cleaned regularly and towels changed at the same time - no clean towels were left on the maid's day off though! There was plenty of space for us all and the balcony was also a good size. A clean, well equipped kitchenette too. Views from the balcony overlooking the pool area and across to the sea in the distance were very pleasing! From the front door, you can see Mount Teide (most of the time it's snow capped!) Outside there are several ways to get to the beach, shops, bars & restaurants etc. All are pleasant routes and most things are within a 5 minute walk. Both Playa de Las Americas and the centre of Los Cristianos are about a 15 minute walk in opposite directions. A well stocked Spar minimarket is conveniently situated across the road.
There really isn't anything negative to say about this accommodation except that if you don't like the thought of the steep incline to get to it from the beach, then it's probably not for you! We booked over internet with Travelrepublic.co.uk and had no problems at all - we got a great deal too!
