The giant bugs in Jardin Tropical

Definitely don't go to Jardin Tropical. This hotel doesn't deserve the all 4 stars.
The standard rooms are very small, the walls are broken and if you are "lucky" you will find some giant bugs inside the rooms.

If you complain about the rooms and you ask for your 4 stars rights the reception staff will ask you for extra charge or advice you to change the hotel.

The cleaning service is partially available in the room as they don't clean the dust or wash the floor in your room.

Even they say the hotel is renovated in fact it is only painted: the furniture in the room is very old, the curtains and the bedspreads are from cheap and plastic materials. The corridors and the elevators are dirty. The photos with the rooms on their website don't show the reality, they are done in Photoshop to look nice.

The only good thing is Las Rocas Restaurant and the beach club but if you look for other 4 stars accommodation you can easily find the same for better services.

Excellent food



Unique Quality: The hotel has five restaurants serving regional and international cuisine. If you have booked your meals in advance, you will eat at las Mimosas, a big restaurant where the food is served in buffet style. El Patio is one of the restaurants with a very good reputation for excellent food.

Tropical garden and swimming pool



Unique Quality: There are two swimming pools. There's a tropical free shaped heated fresh water swimming pool with waterfall in the tropical garden. And at the beach club, on the other side of the promenade near the ocean, there is a swimming pool with salt water built in 1990 when we were there.

Moorish influence

It was just lovely to walk along the corridors and finding around every corner some tropical flowers and vegetation, fountains or moorish style galleries.

Unique Quality: When you come out of your room on the top floor, you are directly outside in the open air.
There are about 500 nice rooms with air-conditioning, satellite T.V. direct dial telephone (outside line), minibar and electronic safety deposit box. Rooms have a mountain, garden or sea view.

A luxurious 4star hotel

The Jardin Tropical is a wonderful hotel located between the lively resorts of Playa de las Americas and Adeje. It is designed in a Moorish style and surrounded by tropical gardens.

A break from any conception of Ordinary!

The Thomas Cook catalogue lists this one as *****. They'll get no arguments from me on that assessment! The staff is multilingual and always helpful, and the hotel even has its own tour booking and car rental service. When they didn't have the vehicle we wanted they directed us down the hallway to the in-house Avis car rental office. Eureka.

Unique Quality: Unique qualities? The pool area layout, for one...the landscaping and the waterfalls, yes, waterfall with an *s*, plural...the lower level pool which fronts the ocean and is in fact filled with actual seawater...What a dream it was, to step out onto the balcony and look out between the palm trees and myriad of flowers and there it was, the bluuuuue Atlantic. And we didn't have to squint or crane our heads around the corner, we had a full-on Oceanview. Thanks to some crafty negotiating. Muchos gracias! ;-)

This was the hotel my aunt and uncle chose for they stay, so I had the opportunity to spend a few afternoon in its paradisiac environment. Flowers everywhere and -buildings of Moorish inspiration, this hotel is really marvellous. It has two swimming pools, the first one close to the rooms and pool bar, quite big and with a small waterfall. The second one is a sea-water pool and lies across the path, overlooking the sea. Beautiful view as well !!
Food was also excellent.
A four stars hotel, but I heard that it is not as good as it used to, so... up to you to make your own opinion :-)

Is this hotel adults ONLY if not can you suggest any hotel in Tenerife which do cater for ADULTS ONLY PLEASE!!!!!!!!

ALL HOTELS ON TENERIFE ARE ASWELL FOR ADULTS AS FOR FAMILY!!!
Hotels in holiday sector are allways for complete families , aswell adults as children. All depends which period you are traveling , if are are here at this period for ex , you will have complete peace in all hotels as examen period is near and no childeren are on holiday.
If you are traveling without travel agency you could try Hotel Reveron in Los Cristianos , this is one more specialised on buissness people , so very poor occupation by organised travelers with children .
More info , no problem I m still here untill juin 5th , so no problem
