Los Arcos Bungalows: Relaxed Setting for these Holiday Homes
Individual bungalows set in a large complex. Groups of bungalows are arranged around the four large swimming pools. They seem to be popular with families, due to the freedom to wander around safely within the secure grounds.
Each unit has it's own garden and outside furniture. A great place to relax.
Pretty pathways lead you all around the complex which has nice well tended gardens.
Set in a quiet part of Playa del Ingles, a good 20 minute walk to the beach.
A minimarket, nice restaurant and large bar are on site with regular good standard evening entertainment.

Colina Mar: On top of the world ???
The hotel is situated on the top of the hugh hill, hundreds of steps down to the beach so be warned!! Luckily the hotel has two swimming pools phew!! Lots of things for the children with nightly entertainment for all, a young family type place, a little on the noisy side when we went but that was around 10 years ago.

Ipanema Park: Puerto Rico's Excellent View
Quality room and quality price. Though it is not really like a high-end resort. But it was good enough for holiday-makers. I wasn't in the room most times. There are so much to see and do in Gran Canaria, and there is no time to be wasted in the room! In any case, I had a good view of the harbour. Lovely boats!
Like any other summer vacation hotels, this place has a kitchenette, balcony, living room, bedroom and of course the bathroom.
I booked my accomodation through www.alpharooms.com . I guess I will be stuck to this website for my next few trips!
Excellent service from the reception to housekeeping. Kudos to Alberto, who has made our trip worthwhile! He had given us usefull information on where to visit et cetera.

GLORIA PALACE: A room with a view
We actually landed up at the Gloria Palace on the recomendation of the travel agent and he surely did a great favour with this help. It is a nice hotel situated on the mountains with 4 star comfort. This is an all inclusive hotel with the most famous spa in the Islands in the installations of the hotel itself, adding another attraction to this place. With 2 great swimming pools and buzzing with activites for all ages throughout the day and ending the day with some musical show.

Dunas Suite Hotel: Gran canaria's worst self catering
stayed in chalet accommodation at the dunas suite hotel with my family at christmas, very dissapointed. not good enough for self catering, lack of cooking equipment and the tv when the weather was bad? appalling. local supermarket very poor and expensive eg tin of sardines in tomato sauce 3.60 euros, 4 rashers of bacon, poor quality 4.95 euros. it would have been cheaper going full board, but on the inspection of the food on offer i think not. 2 stars not 4
the only good thing about our stay at the Dunas was the lovely lay out of the complex.

Rebeca Park Hotel: Underated Self-Catering Accommodation
Our stay at Rebeca Park was brilliant. It is a three star self-catering hotel and although situated in the busy Playa del Ingles resort is very relaxed. The staff are fantastic and are there whenever you need something. The rooms were cleaned almost every day and for the price they charge are an absolute bargain!

Princess Mogan Suite Hotel: A great Princess Hotel
Half board. Excellent food and variety. Very good staff. The hotel is perched on the hillside and was built 2002 facing the sea. The hotel rooms consist of a suite, which consists of a bedroom with large double bed, wardrobe, armchair, sideboard etc. and a bath & shower. The ajoining room has a wardrobe, sofabed 2 armchairs coffee table, fridge freezer, cooker, and another bath and shower. The rooms can be shut off from each other which is great if you are 2 couples. We could'nt fault the hotel. A great stay, highly reccomended.
Outstanding views from the Hotel all rooms facing the sea. The dining room has splendid views looking across the bay to Port Mogan. Also has a very comfortable large bar with entertainment nightly. The pool area is very good with a nice pool bar and seating area, and a strictly no towels on beds policy. The views from the pool bar overlook Port Mogan and the surrounding area.

Apartamentos Folias: Budget
This is a self catering hotel, it is a 2 star I believe but is very …very …very clean!!! It’s location it’s ideal if you don’t want to be in the busy part of the Island but not too far from it!!
You can walk throw the beach from the hotel to the Playa del Ingles , it’s a 20 minutes walk but it’s easily done if you enjoy walking. Or you can take a cab from about 4 euros.
Just up the main road of the Hotel there is a little shopping centre with restaurant, shops, and supermarkets etc…
The members of staff are great; they will help you in all they can.
They have a mini super market with all the essentials.
Evening activities – karaoke, shows etc…. (Not like in a 5 * but good)

IFA Faro hotel, Maspalomas: Hotel situated beside the dunes in Maspalomas
This hotel is situated in nice surroundings, beside the dunes in Maspalomas. We spent a week here.
The room was pretty small and not as nice as I expect to find in Spain. The bathroom had a transparent glass door.
The breakfast and evening buffets were good, and some of the dishes were delicious.
There were many shops around and nice promenades and enough parking spots to park the car in front of the hotel.
We had to pay extra for a WI-FI connection, 6€ a day.
Very close to the dunes which was excellent for walking on the beach all the way to the Playa del Ingles.
