More about Paloma Beach Apartments
We spent 1 week (4th to 11th Sept) at the Paloma Beach, from the very start the booking process with the reception staff were very good and they answered our emails very efficiently. The apartment are at the far side of the bay and a lovely
paved walk can bring you some lovely view right into las americas. Our apartment was very big clean and had everything
you could wish for. The view was the best we had pool and sea view.
Pool bar was very nice a bit pricey but so are most pool bars.
Lots of pubs to drink and eat near by. The best one we found
was up the hill called Taylors Loung very nice bar great food
also nice staff once we found this bar that was it!!!!.
Thanks to the staff at Paloma beach everything was great and we enjoyed out stay. We will be back that's for sure.
loved the friendliness and cleanliness
Just returned from Paloma Beach with my grandaughter Kirsty we have had a lovely holiday and met very friendly people. The apartment was lovely very clean and good view to pool and sea. Liked the idea of having to pay for sunbeds as you couldn't get one till 10 o'clock so no rushing early in the morning and could put them where you liked. Nice friendly evening atmosphere in the bar. Very convenient to everything and would like to go back.
Carol and Kirsty from Essex
still going back after 7 years
we have just returned from a three week stay at Paloma Beach with our three children. What a super time we had. We have always booked our flights on line and then our apartment with Paloma Beach. The apartment was as always near to the pool, lovely with plenty of space and very clean. The children love the swimming pool and we feel very relaxed knowing there is a life guard on hand from midday till 8 o'clock. In the evening the children loved the karoake and friendly atmosphere in the pool bar. This was our seventh year there and we always meet up with friends we have met there in previous years.Thankyou to everyone we met for making our stay an enjoyable one and a holiday not to forget.Eating out we would highly recommend Rumours and the surrey arms. We will definitely be returning next year.
Simply The Best
I have visited Tenerife many times and stayed in a variety of hotels and apartments.Since being lucky enough to be allocated these apartments I will never go anywhere else. These are large lovely apartments and I admire the owners who make rules and stick to them for the comfort of all.The Parke family have always tried to meet any request and are very helpful.Suffice to say I have two bookings for this year.Quiet setting with great shops and restaurants to die for.Try Chill Out at the harbour tunnel,The Ivy,Surrey Arms and Indian nearby.Roll on Easter and I have to say booking direct with Globespan and Paloma Beach is the cheapest I can find.Honestly you will not get better or cleaner for your money and enjoy these fabulous roomy apartments with lovely views .Great for the elderly or those with limited mobility.
What a place to stay
I don't realy have to say much, apart from what a very nice place to say. The appartments were very clean , sky tv , hot water , and somewere to make lunch or dinner.(Also thanks for the water you leave in the appartment )
Iv stayed at paloma Beach about 6 times now, and still enjoy going back, maybe because the staff are very nice.
In november, we asked captain john if there would be any good trips, i e boats, as we we thought it would make a change, he said leave it two days as the weather was a bit windy and you might not see alot, well that was nice of him, as we could have spent money for nothing.
We went at the end of the week, and found the trip very nice and worth the money.
The group i was with were all around late 30s, we found there was lots of things to do around the area, inc bars and sky sports for the football,
As i said, it was a very nice place to spend time and laze around the pool, have a drink, and a chat, you can even hear yourself talk.
We are going back this year, and looking forward to it.
Please mail me if you would like to know anymore, im happy to tell you what i think.
To all you who read this, hope to see you very soon at Paloma Beach .
wow!!! what an apartment!! we rented this apartment fromtom and aideen from dublin via the holidaylets or holiday rentals web site or ownersdirect and it is of the highest standard.
the apartment was just like a home from home. we have friends who own holiday homes to let and they are no match for tom and aideens apartment at palomo beach.
the apartment was more than we expected and we can now not understand anyone who books an holiday via an travel agent to spend time in one of those 'box like' apartments for any length of time.
the kitchen was fully stocked with all utensils and crockery (i'm not one for cooking on holiday but if you are, you'll be in your element). it's like what we refer to here as a 'turn key' apartment. dish washer, full hob and oven, full fridge/freezer, kitchen island.
the power shower was out of this world.
tom and aideen have great taste and there's an iron, ironing board and cleaning materials gallore!! this included the basics like washing up liquid (which i have always previously had to buy when arriving at an apartment)
we stayed for three weeks - so obviously we were not out every night. to go home after a day at the beach, have a shower, and catch up on a bit of washing and cleaning the house (with a glass - or two of cava) in tenerife was brilliant. :-) :-)
vacuum cleaner, iron, ironing board, hi-fi system, (with joe ferguson on the radio!!) - even though we know him, we were on holidays so didn't listen. tv, (all the soaps, it's me or the dog and big brother) dvd, video and a selection of dvd's and books - what else could one ask for? (that's me - i'm afraid)
tom and aideen have great taste and it was just like home from home.
paloma beach complex is great as well. we're not ones for laying around the pool every day to get a tan, we prefer the beach because every day at the beach is different. also 30 degrees is a lot more tolerable with a nice sea breaze. :-) there's a lovely safe beach just 10 minutes walk from the complex.
also it's worth whil getting a taxi to puerto colon (about 6 euros). there's a few really lovely beaches there for sun bathing and the water sports are fantstic. we went para-gliding and the experience was brilliant. also the usual jet ski and boat trips are available and very enjoyable.
there's great range of restaurants nearby, just outside the complex, we could recommend the surrey arms for a good breakfast or snack. we didn't like 'shelly's' because when we first arrived, we were hungry and it was the first place we came to. the girl who served us (who we were subsequently told is the owner) was quite rude when we asked for a becks beer - she said ' this is tenerife you know, we don't do that' !!! well every other bar on the island does!! i was just too tired to tell her that we knew where exactly in the world we were - i.e. tenerife!! so we never bothered going back..
there's a lovely couple of restaurants off los cristianos beach called 'little italy' we really liked there. in playa las americas, there is a lovely portugees restaraunt not far from a bar called the 'jersey cow'. we had a few lovely meals there - the fish platter is delicious!!
we did splash out two nights and went to caracole. this is just on the roundabout before you get to paloma beach. it's upstairs in the small shopping complex. the chef was once chef to the king and queen of jordan and the scallops came really juicy and beautifully presented. about 100.00 euor for a bottle of cava and two main courses. quality considering what you get back here for that money.
also a good night out is at the chieftan bar (get a taxi and ask for hotel colombus) about 8 euros in taxi and a great night out. we've been told that the chieftan, irish fiddler and temple bar are the only irish bars which are irish owned on the island. ben and joh in the chieftan are great fellas - we would like to thank them for their good advice. ps they do great food also.
on a closing note and more to the point, tom and aideen's apartment in tenerife was the best ever and we would highly recommend it to anyone.
once again tom and aideen
thanks a million for all your help.
What more can you ask..........
10 days spent at these apartments were great. We had a one bed apartment over looking the fantastic pool area. The apartments are huge for one bedroom. Full kitchen amenities, and supermarket two minutes away, so if you want to cook then its like home from home. However, if like us you want to eat out, then the choice is overwhelming. We did not have one bad meal, you can choose from your usual british pub type, chineese, indian, a la carte, you name it the resort and surrounding area will provide it. Its a good walk to a decent beach, but the apartment pool more than makes up for it, the terrace is really big, and the pool clean and inviting. Managed by brits, who are helpful and full of advice. They are all privately owned and when we were there alot of owners were holidaying as well, and whilst somtimes you feel you are a bit of an outsider because they all know each other well, it didnt bother us much. Overall a good holiday, and would go back again.
I just came back from a week stay at the Paloma Beech Apartments. The apartment we got was on the far side of the block and was a great size with lovely views of the ocean and all mod cons. The downside sides: cooker didnt work and also the beds were two single beds that we had to push together which dodnt quite work... so you can imagine there was lots of falling through the middle in the night! We did say it to reception but they said that there was hardly any double bed apartments in the block.. the complex wasnt that busy .. so if you are looking for a double bed get it in writing!! No one came to clean the apartment all week... which i thought was very bad as you have a build up of rubbish and dirty floors etc. I had to ask for clean towels and sheets- which I did get thankfully but put them on myself.
On the plus side Captain John, who runs the place is a sweetheart as is the staff in the bar in the complex and their food is great too and cheap. The pool is lovely, large, heated and very clean. You have to pay for the sunbeds €2 a day but that was fine. The complex has a supermarket next door which is great and is located at the far end of los cristannos which is great for a relaxing quiet holiday. Allin al a good place but make sure you get a double bed.
Myself and my boyfriend stayed for eight nights in early November. The apartment we had was great. Really big, large balcony with a pool and sea view (just over the bar). We only used the pool a couple of times but when it did it was really clean and well looked after. Unlike the earlier review I had requested a double bed and got written confirmation. A word of warning though - it was a bit on the small side. Fine for me but not for someone 6 f 4".
Only slight problem was a heatwave which made the bedroom (no air-conditiong) too hot to sleep it - can't plan for that though.
It's in a good location, quiet, but within walking distance to the main seafront, market etc.
One tip - go to Monkey Park, fantastic place!!! The other ones don't compare after being there :) We got a taxi (near Arona Gran hotel) up for E4 and walked back down - or you can walk a couple of minutes to the garage and pick up a taxi there.
Really big apt.Very impressed.Only fault was that there was no safe.I dont like hiding money&passports or carrying them around.Great position but quiet at night when you want to sleep.A few bars outside apts or walk 200yds down road&you have more. Can recommend DesperateDan for food. The steak pie was lovely,as was the breakfasts.Next door is Big Ben pub. Both were cheap.Pint of SpeckledHen only 2euro!At the bottom of road there is a restaurant named Charly. The food was brilliant, but very cheap for what you were served. We had the ChateauBriand on one occasion. It was as it should be.A large lump of beautiful fillet.cooked rare&carved and served at your table.23euro!What a steal,if you had payed £30 in UK it would still have been cheap. They also do a menu of the day which is less than a fiver for three courses and has a superb selection of dishes.Needless to say we had a brilliant time.
