Magic Maspalomas
Thinking we had booked a really cheap holiday, choosing allocation on arrival, we arrived at Las Palmas airport with an air of trepidation... We were met by a Thomas Cook rep who proceded to tell us that they didn't do 'allocation on arrival'! Aaaarrrgghh! Our jaws dropped as we began to panic that we had no accomodation. 'It's ok' says the rep, 'whats the names?'. So we tell him, and get told we are going to Maspalomas. 'Maspawhere?' I wondered to myself, only having heard of Las Palmas and Peurto Rico.
Well, I tell you, Maspalomas was my favourite place out of all the town's I visited on Gran Canaria (which I have to admit wasn't many!) The main thing about Maspalomas is that it is where you find the Sand Dunes. Mass expanses of sand, where although you may wish you could get lost in the desert (I tried in an attempt to get away from my travelling companions!) you always seem to find your way back. Maybe I just didn't walk far enough!

Girlies gone bananas!
