Metres from the main square charco place (plaza del charco) this well appointed hotel offers everything you would expect from a large centrally situated hotel. The amenities were above average but the main attraction is definately the location with literally dozens of street side cafe bars from which to watch the world go by. Puerto Cruz has an upbeat artsy feel with many northern artists and musicians wintering in its warm winter sun which is better than most summer days in Victoria b.c.
If you can afford it this is the centre of the world as far as puert cruz goes and it goes with a Panache and style so lacking in more modern resorts. Within walking distance is the oldest english speaking library and Church in the Canaries and a host of artisan galleries and workshops.
There is also a large south American influx ,in both the artistic world as well as the street/beach promenade musicians who enhance any evening sytroll.
