Loro Parque
Loro Park is undoubtedly Puerto's biggest attraction and has the most impressive and comprehensive display of wildlife in the Canary Islands - its much more than Parrots as its name would suggest. It was certainly the best place we visited - I'll add more info in the general section. Loro Park first opened on the 17th December 1972 with a 13,000m2 park dedicated to parrots. Today the park covers 10 times the original ground, with over 300 species - they are quite noisy too! Many other attractions too such as the sea-lions, penguins and dolphin shows so you really do need a full day here to appreciate it.
