If you go to Tenerife section here at VT (for instance by searching) then you go to hotels/accommodations then you can see all the tips made by other members on hotels located at Tenerife. You can also take a look around and see what things there are to do and definately are a must see as well.
In short: VT can provide lots of information and we all hope you'd like to give some travel tips of your own as well.

The Roman weather forecasting method:
1. Take a live chicken.
2. Remove it's entrails (warning, this can be messy).
3. Burn them.
4. Examine what is left
5. Utter strange sounds and words and come up with a weather forecast / prophesy [Beware the Ides of March!] / or the winning combination for the football pools.
The chicken-friendly alternative is to book your holiday and take what comes.
I just read that there has been a very heavy rainstorm in the island the last week, and it might come even more rain next week. But they think that the worst is over now, so hopefully the weather will be great again by the end of December :)

The beach is hemmed in by a breakwater which virtually encloses the whole bay. This makes the bathing inside of the breakwater very safe, and the sea is always calm here. On the day we visited the waves were crashing everywhere else, but the breakwater kept the bathing water like a mill pond.
The palm trees are nice for giving a bit of shade, which would otherwise be hard to come by, as well as adding a very picturesque look to the beach.
Designed by the Lanzarotian architecht Manrique who was also responsible for the similar park at Puerto de la Cruz, the Parque Maratimo is the lido of Santa Cruz.
It looks a very picturesque and enjoyable place, but at the time we visited it was a howling gale (look at the plams in the picture) and the lido was closed. As well as swimming and sunbathing there are restaurants cafes there so you can get a meal while you top up your tan. Some pools at the outer extremities are lapped by the ocean waves, to make it feel just a little like you are swimming on the open waves.
There are 7 islands that compose the Canary Archipelago. Tenerife, La Palma, La Gomera, El Hierro - these four islands form the Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Las Palmas, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura form the Province of Gran Canaria. Each island is completely different and has it's own particular beauty-
Las Ramblas is a beautiful street with a large boulevard on the hill in Santa Cruz. This area has many beautiful homes and older architectural styles. This area is decorated with beautiful gardens, interesting sculptures, attractive architecture, and shaded walking paths.
