More about Iberostar Las Dalias Hotel
We stayed in the Iberostar Las Dalias on all inclusive - 4 adults and 1 13year old, and had a fantastic time. This was our 6th visit to Tenerife, but 1st on a all inclusive, and initially a little aprehensive, but thought we would give it a go, anyway no need to worry. Excellent location - near to a shopping centre, plenty of bars etc (though I might add you'll probably not venture too far from the hotel) food very nice and a really good selection of drinks. Entertainment - never seen so many good acts in a hotel (all other visits to Tenerife were in a 4star hotel) the hotel entertainment team were fantastic and they also got some very good professional acts in too.
We would definately return to this hotel.
ONE NOTE THOUGH regarding buying electrical items - years ago these were very cheap and originals....... be very careful a lot of shops are selling copies more expensive than back home
Iv just come back from the Las Dalias, last week. I would highly recomend this hotel to the older generation, including families with older children, i went with my best friend and we are both 20yrs old, but we mainly went for veronicas, so we both felt a little out of place, it would have been better if we were partners. The hotel was beautiful though and i couldnt fault the cleanliness, service, pool area, location, and food....
There was only one major thing that i didnt really like, and that was that most of the people there were German, and alot of the entertainment was said in German and Spanish, not that, that bothered me as i was off out in Veronicas everynite neway.... but i think it wouldnt be very ideal for families with young children...
But id go back again, with out a second though....
Very relaxing, quality holiday
My husband and I have just returned from ten days at the Las Dalias in Costa Adeje, which we only booked a week and a half before, after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor.
We arrived in the evening to a glass of champagne/sparkling wine each, and we found the reception staff to be very friendly.
We stayed on an all-inclusive basis, which is not necessary in Tenerife but was fantastic. We had three meals a day, and had a choice of pancakes, fruit, cereal, bacon, eggs etc for breakfast. Lunch and dinner consisted of pastas, pizzas, french fries, soups, salads, potatoes, fish, meats (hot and cold) etc. Soft drinks flowed freely throughout the day and wine, beer and local spirits were available at no cost from about 10am until well after midnight. Branded wines and spirits were available at a supplement. Tea and coffee were available from breakfast throughout the day and evening.
Our room was comfortable and cleaned daily. We asked for a room with a sea view on a high floor when booking, and we got a room on the eighth floor with a view over the pool and the coast, it was so nice waking up to the sun once the black out curtains had been drawn back.
The maids were very friendly and always said 'Ola' and they never seemed to stop cleaning. Everywhere was sparkling and polished and the pool and surrounding sun terraces were always clean. The only negative aspect of the holiday was the toilets in the lobby on the first floor, which were a bit smelly.
There were plenty of sun-beds to go around and plenty of tables at meal times.
The evening entertainment was varied (snake shows, magicians, dancers, singers). The entertainment staff made such an effort with their shows and were very friendly.
There was a shopping precinct across the road where alcohol, perfume and aftershaves, general holiday souveniers, cigarettes etc can be bought. And there is also a supermarket in this centre where you can pick up most things you would need when holidaying.
There are also shops by the beach, which is about a five minute walk from the hotel. Again you can buy all of the above there and it is ALOT cheaper than the airport (I bought some perfume in the resort which cost 45 euros, but it was 55 euros at the airport).
Also there are plenty of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance, but there is a taxi rank across the road from the hotel aswell and, I believe, the taxi fares are reasonable.
The weather was fantastic, it got to about 28 degrees in the day and went as low as about 20 degrees on the night. One dip in the pool in the day was enough to cool us down, but a word of warning the pool was 'always' freezing!
Overall we had a brilliant ten days in Tenerife and at the Las Dalias, where we had no hassle off timeshare people.
I would recommend this resort and hotel to anyone, there were retired people, families, couples, single people and all different nationalities, ie British, French, German, American etc.
Finally, Aqualand is a five minute walk up the hill from the hotel. It cost about 22 euros each and was well worth the money. As well as all the slides and pools there, they have an excellent Dolphin show, which is shown twice each day.
If you are thinking of choosing this hotel or resort, have a lovely time!
We have just returned from a wonderful holiday at Las Dalias, our party consisted of my Husband and I, our Son (16) and his Girlfriend (16). We booked high rooms (floor 9). We had booked half board, but then after two days we upgraded to fully inclusive. We recommend that you do this once you get to the hotel as it is cheaper than doing it through the travel agent. The hotel charge 20 euro a day per person. The views were fantastic over the pool and the Atlantic from our balcony. From the corridoor outside our room we had views through massive windows of Mount Tiede. After reading some of the reviews on your website I was a little worried, but as it turned out these worries were completely unfounded. The food was great, there was always plently to choose from, and the waiters were very friendly and very amusing. The Hotel was kept beautifully clean and well presented by a huge band of cheerful and very friendly staff. The Reception and entertainment staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. This was our first visit to Tenerife, we chose it for the climate in February, most days reached about 25. The pool area of the hotel is big and we always managed to get sunbeds. The Hotel was a great delight. When we arrived late on a Friday night, about 11.45 we were greeted with a glass of champagne and a huge smile of welcome. This was the beginning of a very memorable and fantastic holiday for all of us. We would all return to this hotel again and would recommend it to anyone thinking of going to Tenerife.
the best holiday iv'e had in tenerife
i went just over 2 years ago with my family. i'm wasn't used to going 2 tenerife i did go 2 years before but i didnt really like it as much as the las dalias.
Any way i was only 12 at the time and i just wanted to relax and meet friends. my mum and dad were in the next roomand i was with my brother and sister and there was a door joining our rooms so my mum could keep and eye on us and our room was facing the pool. i met 2 friends there.
The staff were really nice and would go round asking would you like to do an activity. there was loads to do for little kids watching a video in the entertainment room. there was a play area near the toilets a little play house which my little brother broke the window off.
At night when you are getting dressed a piano player would come out on the little stage outside and play really relaxing music while you get dressed we loved it eccpeccialy when you are facing him. you dont really need to go out there is a show on every night at about 10pm. at 11pm the bar outside shuts but we just went into the show room and had a drink untill we went to bed we didnt really go out much at nioght we out about twice to have a meal at the chineesse resturaunt around the corner and down the hill.
The food the was the best we all went back for more i luved to pancakes, eggs, water melon, burgers, chips, pizzas, chicken, cakes and the ice cream which with the pancakes was my favourite. the survice was really good there were enough waiters to go round and you can just go up and get your food it was like a buffet.
there is a shop at reception and a hair salon and also was a bar which was very relaxing.
i am going back there in 7 days i have heard the rooms have been re done. i went to america last year and i didnt get a very good tan but this year i will you all ways get a good tan in tenerife. i am going all enculsive and i cant wait iam trying to lose weight so i can fit all the food in
Any who if you managed to read all this whats your seceret lol
We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights from the 13th March 2005 going full board. The hotel is well situated with plenty to do on the outside. The hotel staff are excellent very courteous and very hardworking. The entertainment staff are very good starting at about 10am with the kids club building up to the main entertainment for adults at 10pm. Although a bit cheesy at times it was of good value. When going full board we did not recieve any instructions of what was in and what was out. All brand name drinks such as Bacardi attract a supplement of 2 euros so stick to the local stuff. Food was excellent and of a high standard and plenty of it. The rooms were good and adequate but in comparison to some of the other 4 star hotels on the island were of a lower standard. The pool area got a bit crowed at times.
Just got back from a week's vacation here with my husband and 3 kids (ages 10, 10, 4). We had the family room with connecting doors....so the older kids thought it was great having their own room. Great location...right by a little shopping center. The food was good for buffet style food. We were all inclusive. The "included wine" could have tasted better, but maybe it just wasn't my taste...I saw others drinking it. My girls enjoyed the kids club....good mixture of kids and languages. Mostly Brits there while we were there...which was good since we're American, and liked hearing English sometimes. The staff was multilingual too. All in all, a good vacation spot!
I have just come back from tenerife, having stayed in the las dalius hotel.I stayed with my girlfriend and son of 11 We met my sister, husband and there two kids aged 6 and 8.I must say we had a wonderful time at the las dalius and would reccomend it to everyone. The food, service, entertainment were excellent,a special mention going to carole and peter(entertainment team)who were absolutely brilliant with the children. We went all inclusive, and had no problems at all.It was nice you could pour your own wine and beer in a nice and friendly atmosphere.Another bonus, shops and bars are close by,if you fancy a change from your hotel..
If any problem at all timeshare touts,a polite no thankyou and they will leave you alone!
Great New Year
Spent New Year in the Canary Islands for the second year running.
Thought we would struggle to surpass a previous stay at the Bahia Principe in Adeje but this was not the case. OK we needed to change rooms as our first room was not ideal - along a miserable corridor overlooking the main road but this was not a problem for the staff and we ended up with a superb room overlooking the pool.
We took the All Inclusive option which was extremely good value.
The New year Gala Dinner was exceptional and this pretty well set the trend for the quality of food all week. (Admittedly, no more fresh lobster!)
The rooms are clean, No mad dashes to reserve Sun Beds in the morning and while the entertainment was not my cup of tea, the team worked extremely enthusiastically.
Location of the hotel is excellent if you want to eat and/or drink outside the hotel.
All in all an excellent holiday
Great hotel if you get a good room
Excellent central location for access to the ever expanding area of Las Americas. Plenty of choices for food lovers. Arriving for dinner just after 7.00pm offered plenty of tables and a relaxed atmosphere. Recommend taking your own tea bags if tea is what you like to drink. Rooms are clean but a bit basic nowadays. High floor pool view rooms recommended.
