We had a fantastic time at the Lanzarote Bay. We have a four year old son who loved every minute of it. The food was excellent and a good variety with each meal. Snacks available throughout the day. Entertainment was also very good and always something to do. Very much a family hotel but if you wanted to escape the kids there was a separate bar for adults only. Great place for a family holiday. Clean bedding and towels everyday bar Sunday. Great value for money will definitely be booking for there again!!!
Just returned from 2 Brilliant weeks at the Lanzarote Bay on an All Inclusive Basis.
The room was adequate, The meals plentiful and varied with lots of drinks available all day long. The Entertainment Team - Sean, Emma, Little Em and Claire were FANTASTIC the kids were entertained morning and afternoon then with the mini disco in the evening.
The adults activities also very good.
The one slight problem we found was the cleanliness around the pool area, but with wind blowing plastic cups half full of drinks over the hotel can not really be blamed.
All in all we had a fab time and would have no problems at all in returning.
Just returned yesterday from a two week holiday at Lanzarote Bay Apartments and what can i say but fantastic. The staff were lovely, the hotetur entertainers Sean (who is wasted there by the way, his talent was endless) Claire, Emma and Asif who had just joined a couple of days before we left and was doing a fantastic job with the kids, all the kids loved them, they provided activities and entertainment from 10 in the morning until 12 at night, that includes activities and entertainment for the adults too, we couldnt fault them at all. The bar staff, waiters and cleaners were all very polite and always had a smiling face for you. The rooms were extremely clean, the restaurant provided us with a vast choice of hot and cold meals, soft drinks and alcohol, there were also two other bars, one for adults only, plus a pool bar and snack bar where they provided burgers, hotdogs, chips and salad from 10am - 6pm and the occasional barbeque which was fantastic. All in all a fantastic holiday, we will definitely be returning.
I went to the Lanzarote Bay hotel in august 2003 with my mum in law, husband, 5 year old son and 2 year old daughter. We had a fabulous time!! The entertainment made the holiday for us, from numerous day time activitys for both adults and children which helped break the ice with other familys. The fun then carried on through to the evening, I honestly couldnt fault the place. Innitially we booked the hotel because it looked great and was airtours which we alwasy went for but the children never went anywhere near their kids club opting for the hoteteur club which is run by the hotel. The hotel couldnt have employed better all round entertainers, dave, gav, kate and milly were true stars. If I could take this hotel to a livelier resort I would as in my opinion there wasnt much to do. Its a good job the hotel was so great and we didnt have to leave it that often. The only negative things I would mention is that the pool was a bit too cold but once you were in you were fine and that you had to be up early to get a sunbed. The disco room table and chairs also needs altering as unless you have your meal early evening and get down there quickly you'll end up with naff seats where you cant see whats going on.
Interesting place this and getting it for a bargain compensated for the slight disappointment upon arrival. Let me list the facts:
1. Although it is a 3*, it is not air conditioned. We went in March 2004 and this was not an issue but I could imagine it to be intolerable in summer.
2. The place is swarming in kids. Great for families...a damn nuiscance to everyone else.
3. The beds comprise of two singles. Great if you want a rest or get away from her (him) but a damn nuiscance if you're here for romance. No matter which way you turn the beds, they persistently part in the middle and you invariably end up on the floor or having to swing your hips uncontrolably to sustain the rhythm!
4. The place closes down at midnight (everything) which means no nightcaps or otherwise.
5. Don't let the reps talk you into going South for beaches. The North East is where you want to go. It's absolute paradise with calm, blue water and sparcely populated beaches! The reps go there...that's why they send you South!
6. Don't use your credit card in the shops!!! They will ad upto 10% "commission" onto it and when you challenge them they'll either make out the don't speak English and don't understand you or tell you this is a "normal statutory charge". They will not refund you!!! In fact, it is best to get them to write down the price BEFORE you use a credit card.

This was a week away for my birthday, but we chose the wrong place for us! The hotel needs a major refurb as it is very tired, the beds are very uncomfortable and the whole place feels dirty. We found a dead cockroach every day in the bathroom, but the last straw was when my husband got out of bed and found an alive one on the pillow! The hotels first reaction was to give us a spray can and send us on our way, but when we made more fuss and asked to move they were very good and found us a room on the top floor! It is geared for kids, which is fine, but do you really need blaring music all day? it would have been nice to have some quiet time in the afternoon, or at the least turn the volume down! The resort is very quiet and there are some great places to eat, we went to the one's the locals went to, and they was very good. As other people have said the pool is very very cold, we always go swimming when we are on holiday I only went once and my husband not at all, it was just too cold! We will not be going back to this hotel!!!!
Stayed here first week in April 2004, with my hubby and 7 and 6 year old and 7mth old baby!! What a real disapointment......... Room was spacious enough but in desperate need of a refurb, rusty bath and sink not ideal with a young baby!! Altough the maid service was every day with clean towels and bed making.Now for the 'restaurant' what a shambles anyone with a child under 2 was put in the 'rugrats' corner which is directly next to the deserts!! Approx 8 highchairs available that where more than capable of walking themselves to your table - I never put my baby in one the whole time we where their absolutley filthy!! As for the food it was at most just acceptable with a varied choice for the adults as for the kids under ten only one choice from the 'kids buffet' needless to say we ate out a few times.On site during thew day everything was kept very tidy, with 'food' and 'drinks' available all day at the side of the pool food was, cardboard rolls, plastic burgers or hot dogs, chips chips and more chips, salad if you dared!!! Drinks where given in small party cups with extra fizzy beer, petrol barcardi, vodka, whiskey etc Then comes 5pm sunloungers are collected bar shuts and food disappers - not that you are that bothered but I am just making a point................Time to go home collection time was 7am - they would not let us get the kids any breakfast as the 'restaurant' only opens at 8am all we wanted was some toast - machines where on at that time........This is our opinion I am sure that lots of other people have really enjoyed it here but I cannot help it if my standards are higher than theirs x
First impressions of the hotel were not good. Arrived with my husband and 2 daughters aged 7 and 9, at 10pm. Walked in the lobby and we could barely hear ourselves due to the noise coming from the entertainment area. The room was always kept very clean by the domestic staff. The beds we found to be a bit uncomfortable (but what hotel bed isnt?) The pool area was lovely apart from a few people ignoring the bins and dumping trash everywhere. The pool itself was clean and adored by all the children. Lots of activities during the day and night for both adults and children and the entertainment team were marvellous. Finally the food. What can I say- it was simply out of this world. There was an enormous selection of food at each mealtime ( and incredibly tasty! ) as well as constant supplies of burger/ hotdog/salads/chips at the poolside bar. A choice of soft drinks / alcoholic drinks was on tap to wash down the delicious food! The Reps worked really hard and were really pleasant and helpful. All in all - a pleasant holiday which the kids really enjoyed and apart from a bit of noise, the adults really enjoyed it too.
l went there with my husband and two children age 8,10 we had a woulderful time there the kids had so much to do day and night even the adults were keep busey we meet some really nice people who we had fun with . same nights we weren,t going to bed untill 4 am we just had fun fun with the enterment team little em sean and lee . thay never stop from 10am until 12am we would go back again .
