El Cordobes: Looks like a bordello?!

The pension is situated in one of the picturesque narrow cobbled streets set back from the sea front, and is over a bar, which does unfortunately play reggaeton music until the small hours. If you're here for the fiesta though, that shouldn't worry you as by the time you come back from partying it'll be quiet!

We had a quad room, a double bed and a double sofa bed, with an ensuite bathroom, for 25 euros each.

Hostal Vista Alegre

Castro Cordiales is on the coastside, visiting the month of May it wasn't so busy yet. This place can be very busy during summer months because of the beaches. Is one of the most crowded place in the summer months, locals are likely occupied the whole area. Is very popular place for swimming

Looking in advance for a night stay in town is quite difficult, there are plenty of hotels in town but no so much with parkings. Parking garage in town is about 15€ a day. So we have no choice of staying outside town, is about 2km to the center. If one has no car, the center is a short walking distance

The hotel is on the roadway with parking lot in front and one inside the garage. The building is quite huge, on the upper part of the building is a residential apartments. When you enter the first thing you see is the bar, we have to ask where the hotel reception, the reception is pretty small right next to the bar. An elderly man help us for check-in, he can't speak English. Spanish will help a little bit if traveling in the area

Our room is at the third floor, the first floor is where the cafe/bar is located, the second floor is where the restaurant. So all rooms are start at the third level. There's no elevator, so luggage must be carried through a stairs. We travel with small bags, so it wasn't a big deal for us. But for people with big suitcases will have to do quite a steps.

The room is spacious wooden floor, and clean, we have twin beds, bathroom was okay enough space for both of us. The window facing to a balcony but we can't access. One thing annoy me, is no closet or hangers to hang our jacket in the room. Is normally a three star hotel but is not worth the price and star.

This is a hotel and restaurant but we haven't eaten here. The dining room was empty I have not see people dine. Breakfast was included where you can claim it at the bar, but you only get one croissants a cup of coffee and a glass of fresh orange juice, very poor breakfast. Hotel staff do not speak English, a little phrase of Spanish will help them to understand.
