Comillas is a lovely town on the coast of Cantabria. It has retained an elegant and aristocratic charm combined with the picturesquism of fishing towns.

Comillas is famous for being one of the few places out of Catalonia where the famous architect Antoni Gaudà worked. The small palace of "El Capricho" is a delicate modernist building today used as a restaurant.
