The hotel, built in the Belle Époque architecture, typical of the time when Santander was a fashionable resort for aristocrats and the Spanish monarchy, has different kinds of bedrooms (some of them surprisingly small for the category of the hotel), but the most recommendable is certainly the two-storey Royal Suite, located under the circular dome that crowns the building.
Some of the facilities and the general decor are screaming for a stylish refurbishing that lives up to the five star category that the hotel boasts. Therefore, the location on a quiet residential district and the splendid views from the rooms are definitely the best the Hotel Real has to offer.
The in house restaurant, El Puntal has a good reputation in the city and also offer good bay views from the terrasse.
