Hotel Alfonso VIII de Cuenca

We used this hotel on a biking road trip to Cuenca. It was chosen for the cost - a double room was 50€ + tax. Breakfast was an extra is you wised but we chose to search out a cafe opposite the park in Cuenca.

It has secure underground parking which was the main reason we chose it as we have a Harley, and much of the hotels in Cuenca are in the beautiful old town but without decent parking.

Cuenca town well worth a look - and the enchanted city to the north as well. We loved the gothic cathedral up in the old town.

Unique Quality: Very basic but functional and clean. Small european bath but plenty of hot water and clean towels.

The room had no view to mention... looking out onto a light shaft in the centre of the hotel, but to be honest we didn´t book for the views, but for the fact we needed somewhere cheap to stay the night!

Very easy to book over the internet, very efifcient and pleasant staff who spoke english well.

Very huge places, approx 1,500 pinches.
Lovely location and easy to access from cuenca.
Well equipped and kept.
