small City, narrow Streets
by pepples46
Toledo..rich on History first mentioned by the Romans 190 BC, Spains oldest City, and like Cordoba, Seville and Granada, Toledo can look back on a Moorish History as well. Art and outstanding Beauty, look around the Streets, with lovely Flower Basquets at the Window and enchanting Patios in and around Toledo. but the narrow, twisting streets can give some problem, the cars come through and often there is no way to go for a pedestrian, stay where you are, pressed against the wall, best or jump into a doorway..stay calm:-)) the Atmosphere in Toledo is something I treasure. neadly situated above the River Tajo which gave the City protection and Lifestream.
Damascene Ware
by keeweechic
Damascene or Damasquinado is the art of black steel items which are etched with 24ct gold thread but sometimes also silver and copper. The process involves lightly etching a design on steel with something like a stylus tool. The gold thread is then laid inside the edges and held down to form the delicate pattern.
Toledo - Panorama from History point of view

The history of Toledo is closely bound with the history of Spain. The city was one of the important spiritual and political centers of the country and one of the first city stirred to action against Muslim oppression. In spite of the fact that king Phillip II carried the capital to Madrid, there are a lot of magnificent monuments and a special timeless atmosphere of city from famous history of Toledo.
The Best In Spain
by keeweechic
Originally there were 13 windmills and these were handed down through the generations – father to son. Inside there are two levels. The heavy sacks of grain were hand carried to the top floor. The Windmills all have a name and they stopped being working windmills in the early 1980’s. Now restored, they are considered the best examples of windmills in Spain.

Ademas puedes encontrar dulces artesanales hechos por las monjas, en los conventos.
