I'll definitely keep a very good memory of that hotel! Far from the level of a 5*, I can't really say it was comfortable. However it was located in an old historical building and you could tell that from every details of the room, the wooden door, the windows, the furniture, the tiles on the ground,...
It's not located in the historical center itself but at walking distance from the old city wall.
Breakfast was included but it was the only good thing about it, the buffet was rather poor!
While the exterior is quite impressive, our room was pretty spartan. It overlooked the Bullfighting arena which, on Sunday morning, was bustling with activity (and noise).
The Maria Christina is not in the old city, but it is a short bus ride to town. The buses run frequently and well into the wee hours, so no problems there.
I plan to return to Toledo in a few weeks, but I will try another place. The combination of location and room amenities, for the money, left me underwhelmed.
