¡Hola! Veo que todo el mundo habla en inglés asi que aquí estoy yo para empezar a hablar en español. Bueno a lo que iba. Hay que preparar una salida de juerga hacia Vigo (si es que llegamos) saliendo de Ponferrada. La fecha probablemente sea por Enero-Febrero del 2003. ¿Interesad@s?

Apart from the cathedral and...
Apart from the cathedral and the Pantheon mentioned under another heading the things most worth seeing are the building by Gaudi and the Parador [photo] (or San Marcos)
I am something of a Gaudi fanatic after visiting Barcelona. The san Marcos building is as impressive as any Parador I have seen.
Interesting Market Finds
Do you like to buy your chickens whole and still moving? Well you can at the Saturday morning market. I found this group of chickens tethered by one foot to a pole. I think they are huddled together, because it was FREEZING outside!
Lived(ing) in Leon
"Life in Leon"
People here are very proud of being from Leon. The Castillian language is considered by many to be 'real' Spanish. I am studying Spanish here at the Centro de Idiomas. The city is not tainted with touristy shops or attitude. Leon is (for the most part) quiet and original. Yet still modern and antigua tambien. Of all the cities I have seen in Spain, (Cordoba, Granada, Cadiz, Seville(a),Asturias, Villafranca, y mas) the catedral in Leon is still the most beautiful. It is not the biggest or the oldest. Maybe because it has the highest crystal:concrete ratio in the world. They closed it for repairs....for 50 years. It was due to crumble because of the stained glass ratio but now it is repaired and absolutely gorgeous. Come to Leon and see. Worth the stop. I live on the Camino de Santiago, so if you are hiking it, stop by!
