LEON's CATHEDRAL
It's one of the most important gothic cathedrals in Spain. Really interesting visit, just in the center of the city. What I like the most of León is BARRIO HUMEDO: it's where you can take wines and eat typical dishes of the region.

ATAPUERCA ARCHEOLOGICAL SITE
Another place not to be missed,in your visit to Burgos,is the ARCHEOLOGICAL SITE OF ATAPUERCA.Is located just outside of Burgos,in la Sierra de Atapuerca,and also is designed by UNESCO as WORLD HERITAGE.

Cloister of San Marcos
Inside the San Marcos building there is a marvellous cloister. It can be visited through the main gate of the Parador. As you enter the hotel lobby, turn right through a cristal gate and there you are. There is an upper floor that can be visited too.
In the lower floor there is a collection of tombs stones from the roman times.
Beautiful Building
I absolutely fell in love with this building. It is not famous or a main tourist sight, but it captured my eye and I have not forgotten it since. The first floor of the building houses a bank and the rest appeared to be apartments.

We were only in Leon for one weekend...it was a cute, typical Spanish town. For the most part, people were very friendly. Unfortunately, I forgot to write about it in my travel log, so names of places have left me. There is a building there built by Gaudi, but it is not nearly as spectacular as others. The cathedral in Leon is extrememly beautiful with breath-taking stain glass windows. This is a nice town for a relaxing weekend away from the big city. The hostel we stayed in (sorry, forgot the name!) was extrememly nice, like a hotel room for about $15 or $20 a night!
