Feria de San Antolin

by Monosabio

I will be visiting Palencia from September 1 to 5 and want to get information on the activities during the feria. Is there a web site for information?

I am afraid I only found it in spanish, as Palencia is not much a tourist city

It is on the 2nd September. Hope you enjoy your trip around Castilla la vieja.

A friend of mine also visited some castles on the area and had some medieval banquets ... she was in palencia, but I do not remeber more, sorry

There is an official web page in http://www.palenciadigital.com/sanantolin/ (only in Spanish)

By the moment, it has only the program of the past festivities (2002).

Simbols -Symbols

by elpariente

San Antolín Cathedral is not one of the "famous" Spanish cathedrals , for this reason it is a real surprise to meet it and to see its grandeur and the master pieces that keeps
Even the actual construction is Gothic , it keeps remains of its previous costructions as Visigoth and Romanesque .In the crypt there is a Visigoth part that it was built to keep San Antolín relics and the Romanesque part with a very peculiar roof
