Close but not in
We looked at a cheap, yet decent hotel. Ibis has proven to be it, so we went to this one. Not in the Center of the old City or University area, but at walking distance. The room was just that; a room, somewhere to sleep. WE had a small bathroom and hardly any switches (we usually need a few for: camera, cel phone, Palm). It did its jobs, but do not expect anything else. Good for what we paid for.
The hotel offered breakfast for 8 euros each, but there were a few bars and bakeries nearby (right across), so we chose to go there.
WE walked toward the Old city and at end of walk, took a bus back from the Roman Bridge. Parking available at an extra fee but it is easy to park on the street and it seemend to be a decnt neighborhood.
