We found this hotel easily enough since it is rather close to the historic district. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. The rooms are just as the hotel name would imply, petit. Beside for the capsule hotels in Japan, they were among the smallest I've seen.
But they were clean, the beds were comfortable. The TV, air conditioning, bathrooms, etc. were all fully functional.
The staff did not require us to register or sign our names in even while checking out. Payment is accepted as cash-only.
Unique Quality: Parking is offered (until their garage is full) for ~10Eur.
WiFi is available in the lobby and possibly the first floor if the signal is strong enough.
Directions: Right behind the church of Sancti Spiritus
We found “Le Petit Hotel” in my guidebook under the heading of “Accommodation for those who want to save money” and we liked the sound of that! We booked in around midday and by 6pm, we noticed it was full up so it must be quite popular. I’m not surprised.
18 euros per night
Unique Quality: It was only a 1* hotel but was really lovely inside. The rooms were lovely, and clean too. There were ensuite bathrooms with lovely showers, a radio and TV, air conditioning and a telephone - I was delighted with the phone as it meant I could receive phone calls for the first time since arriving in Spain in February.
