A simple hostal in a good place in Valladolid. Clean and cosy ensuite room for us, nothing fancy but everything worked and a very reasonable price.
Several good cafes nearby and it's just about a 10 -15 minute walk into the city centre and about the same to the railway station.
A little English spoken by the friendly staff, a little Spanish spoken by me so we had no problems! enjoyed our stay here.
4/2011 not taking credit or debit cards, cash only.
Very old building and seemingly older quilts on the beds. Windowless room on corridor (with shuttered windows onto the hallway and glass door). The room reminded me of the Van Gogh painting with the crooked bed. I realized why when I went to brush my teeth at the room's washbasin and realized I was having to lean to offset the tilt of the floor. But for 20Euros it was a private room just blocks from the Plaza Mayor and across the street from excellent tapas at the Rincon.
My favorite accomodation is www.bancotel.com you get bonus to stay in diferent hotels (3,4 starts) for only 50 euros the double room per night, great value and quality!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
