The Ramblas has to be my favorite spot in all of Barcelona. But there are many, many things to do. Walking down the Ramblas with the canopy of trees overhead, the sidewalk cafes, and vendor shops. It was a great experience. There are many sidewalk cafe's to sit and enjoy a drink, to talk wth friends and enjoy the view. This without a doubt, is one of my most best memories EVER.
Water

There's no problem at all about drinking from the tap. The water we have at our homes comes from a very tight sanity and quality control.
That's true, depending on which cleaning istalation the water comes from it may have a strongest flavour. In case you don't like the water from the tap, there are many companies that sell bottled water that one can find in any supermarket.
1.5L can be purchased from 0.5 euros -or even less. I can reccommend you some marks: Font Vella, Lanjarón, Solan de Cabras, Viladrau, Verí,...

Park Guell - Narrow twisting pathways.
by Jerelis
Gaudi's work is admired by architects around the world as being one of the most unique and distinctive architectural styles. His work has greatly influenced the face of the city of Barcelona architecture and you will see Gaudi's work all over the city. You simply can't miss it! Park Guell is just one of Gaudi's creations and lies north of Barcelona centre. The park is full of narrow twisting pathways which meander through the park. Amazing to witness!
There are so many pathways and different routes that it's easy to loose your bearings. However just as you think you're totally lost you usually come across one of the many park maps en-route. The park is full of trees and shrubs and as we walked around we saw unusual and colourful sculptures, mosaics, walkways and tiling. Besides that we had some fabulous views of Barcelona from Park Guell as the whole grounds are built on hill land.
Address: Carrer d'Olot, 08024 Barcelona.
Directions: Bus 24, 25, 31, or 74. Metro; line 3. Lesseps Station, then follow the street signs. Do keep in mind that it is quite a strenous walk to the main entrance!
shopping for food
by irisbe about SuperSol
Just one street away from our rented appartment in the Gracia area, we could find a lot of things in this little supermarket.
We didn't had to worry to starve ! They had beverages, lots of prepacked ham and cheese, fresh baguettes, milk and all other kinds of allimentary food. Milk, cheese, ham, coffee, bread, beer, cola, water, napkins... we spent about 27 Euro's and it was sufficient to cover the breakfasts of 4 days staying.
