A catastrophe! Never Again!

A CATASTROPHE!
You basically cannot have a rest in this hotel, because it is noisy. Walls are like of paper… They have heating/cooling together with ventilation, and it is allowed to SMOKE in the rooms, which means that if anyone at any time smokes in the hotel, you will have ALL smoke in your room. You can switch it off, but then you freeze or die of the heat.
To clean the rooms, they use kind of a strong chemicals that you can smell after days.
They have tiled floor and trundle beds (with legs with rolls), so take care while leaning your back against the wall :) Towels stink of vinegar or something.
TV is in each room, but the volume is limited :) and you hardly hear anything. The quality of the transmission is bad in case of international channels, local are good.

Fundamentalmente no puedes descansar en este hotel. Es ruidoso, porque las paredes son como el papel... Tienen ventilación y aire condicionado en el misma sistema, y se permite FUMAR. Esto significa que si alguien fuma en el hotel, tienes TODO EL HUMO en tu habitación. Puedes apagarlo, pero vas a tener frío/calor.
Para limpiar las habitaciones usan alguna sustancia química, que puedes oler unos días después :) Las toallas huelen el vinagre u algo. Tienen suelo de baldosas y las camas-nidos (que rodan cuando te apoyas contra el pared).
Hay televisión en cada habitación, pero el volumen está limitado. Los canales internacionales no son de buena calidad.

I can't comment about the hotel but about its location... IMHO is excellent! You have a metro stop 5 min away (L5, Hospital de Sant Pau) and a couple more just a bit further away (L2, Sagrada Familia, L4 Guinardó or Alfons X)

You'll be right next Hospital de Sant Pau, one of the architectural jewels of Barcelona (even many visitors miss it) and of course the Sagrada Familia. But is a nice, not really touristy neighborhood. Travessera de Gracia is great for shopping, as well as the Gracia neighborhood that is a very popular hangout area for us locals. Bohemian, laid back area, with still the feeling of the independent town it was before being annexed to Barcelona.
