Its far away from the city center but near to a metro station. One of the hotels build for the olimpic games. Its pretty and doesn't cost that much. Its a 4 star hotel.
It's highly underrated based on all the reviews I read prior to my visit to Barcelona. The staff was very friendly and spoke fluent English, Spanish and Catalan.
Very clean and the wireless connection was adequate.
My only complaints are the proximity of several major hospitals to the hotel. Ambulances and other emergency vehicles were constantly passing by with their sirens and horns blaring, day in and day out. This forced me to keep the windows closed the whole time and to use the AC even during cool evenings.
I had a great view of a section of Barcelona and the sea beyond it.
Directions: A little bit north of the city proper. Take the #3 train (green line) to Mundet and you're there. About 15 minutes to downtown. (Be mindful of the clock at night: train stops running at midnight!)
I stayed in this hotel for two nights in march and found it to be comfortable with wonderful breakfast. If you want a 4 star hotel that is good value and dont mind catching the metro to Placa Catalunya (15 mins) it is a good choice.
The metro station is just round the back of the hotel and will take you straight to Placa Catalunya
