The most important thing that we did was visit the Olympic Stasium. The best memory that I have from Barcelona was the day that we went to the olympic stadium becase it was neat to see a stadium where olympics have taken place.

Though people appreciate foreign tourists who speak Spanish, be aware that Spanish is not their regional language--Catalan is. Throughout Spain, people are proud of their regional languages and can sometimes be offended if you assume Spanish is what they speak on a daily basis. In most of the tourist areas, you won't have any problems getting by in Spanish (or English, for that matter), but in some of the outskirts it is a different story.

Everything you need
by PierreZA about El Corte Ingles
What a huge department store.
I actually like this one-stop shopping store. It sells everything from a garden rake to Kobe beef (180 Euro/kg).
The supermarket is on the lower level, and is a very nice store to get most things you might need.
