Catalunya Hotel from Montjuic

The Grand Hotel Torre Catalunya is situated in front of the Expo Hotel so it is close to the Sants Stacio.
It is one of the hotels that compose the Expo's chain. Maybe this hotel is the most luxurios and confortable in this area, but to tell you the truth, the Expo is so close and it costs a little bit less than better to chose the Expo instead .

Barri Gotic

I opted to stay in a furnished apartment for this trip to Barcelona. It was in the Barri Gotic and arranged through the site LovingBarcelona. They were so helpful and very convenient way to stay in the city. The apartment was clean and well suited for my stay. Nothing fancy but so worth it. It wasn't a hotel so I felt I had the opportunity to really get a feel for the city. Though if you do decide to do this make sure you have matches on hand to heat the pilot light back up!

It was really close to the Urquinaona metro station and a few minutes walk to the sights in the Barri Gotic.

The City Park Hotel Nicaragua
in Barcelona, Spain.

The City Park Hotel was located in a very convenient location. It was just a couple of blocks from Estació de Sants one of Barcelona's major transportation hubs. Also it is within walking distance of several sites in the city.

The accommodations weren't cheap, but they weren't the most expensive. The room was decent at best with a not-so-comfy bed and tiny space. The bathroom was large and certainly a plus. For what we paid, the room was acceptable. We were also displeased seeing people smoke on the non-smoking floor.

It was located next to a small park/plaza which was nice and it was just a couple of blocks from Estació de Sants.

This hostel is in a little nook off of Las Ramblas. While it isn't cheap, it isn't expensive. I spent my first day searching for a cheaper place and couldn't. Well, maybe a few euros but it couldn't beat the location.

It has a totally bohemian feel to it with great windowsill. I spent a lot of time sitting on ours, writing in my journal. Yes, I was that corny but it fit the time. Other rooms have balconies. The people who work there are very nice, especially if you try to speak to them in Spanish. They let us stay in our room for hours after checkout with out paying extra. It's close to everything, has clean sheets, and a very cool lounge area to hang out.

it was the best place we could find for that price.

41 euros for a double, so cool. we had a washing basin in the room and a shared bathroom
over all it was clean, we also had satellite tv and free internet downstairs

Hostal Girona is perfect for budget travellers
who want fo stay in the inner city.
I had a nice single room for 25 € per night without bathroom. All rooms and the two baths have always been very clean and tiny. Moreover all members of the family are very friendly and helpful.

Greatest location in Barcelona. Ideal for shopping and business purposes.
Hotel is great and staff helpful.
Do not miss the Drolma restaurant (Michelin starred).
Rooftop pool and panoramic views are unforgetable.
Service is excellent in all aspects.
Highly recommand this hotel to any traveler to Barcelona.

Le Meridien Barcelona

I did not stay here but I did walk into to the hotel and it was absolutely beautiful. We also looked into staying here but it was way too expensive for us. If you've got the money, I can't see a better place than this to stay!

For our wedding, we blocked some rooms at 79 euros per night (weekend rate), breakfast included. You must plan ahead though; this hotel is located right in front of Camp Nou, Barcelonas soccer/football stadium which holds about 100,000 people. During a weekend with a game, you probably will not find rooms.
Besides, it is looted near Diagonal Avenue, and close to a metro station and busses to Plaza Cataluña.
The suite is great and huge!
