Everything about this hostel was fairly standard, except the beds. They were appalling.
Imagine every time you roll over in bed, Rolf Harris plays a wobble board made of sheet metal in your ear. Then imagine 15 other people in the same room as you, with a similar cause and effect. Let's just say it was very hard to sleep once my walkman batteries ran out.
Apart from that, the hostel was ok. Reasonably friendly staff, breakfast was adequate, and the location is good.
Nice bar around the corner, too.
The one serious problem with this hostel outweighs the good, unfortunately, and I cannot recommend it. I regularly stay in hostels because they are a cheap place to sleep. Here, I was unable to do so.

Unique Quality: Internet access, good location.
Directions: I used Paral-lel tube station. It's about 5 minutes walk.
The hostel itself was great, the people and staff were friendly, the facilites were new and clean...the only downside was the location, we came to affectionately know the street as Prostitute Alley!! If you could pick it up and put it on a different street it would be perfect!
Directions: Side street half way down Las Ramblas
