taxi fare

by SISally

Could someone tell me how much is the taxi fare from the cruise ship pier to the Picasso Museum? I will be there in October. Thanks.

Re: taxi fare

by listenandlearn

From the cruise ship pier to the Picasso Museum, it would approximately cost you between 6 to 8 euros....we hope the taxi driver does not take you in circles. In the event you will need to bring a lugage then for each luggage the taxi driver charges one euro per luggage, in addition to the above, a regular taxi will only accommodate 3 adults seated at the back and one passenger seated next to the driver, from time to time there are taxis that is large enough something like a mini van which would accommodate nine passengers, although normally those cabs are usually on call.
We hope your visit to Picasso Museum falls on the first Sunday of the month as once every first Sunday of the month the entrance if free of charge. HAVE A GREAT TOUR!

Travel Tips for Barcelona

Gaudi architecture

by Raimix

Gaudi is among the most famous World’s architects. Actually Barcelona is the main city he was working, so it is a center location to see Gaudi architecture.

As famous examples of Gaudi works I could mention the Church of Holy Family (Sagrada Familia), Guell park, Casa Batllo, Guell palace and so on.

The uniqueness of his architecture is a return to a nature and trying to depict it in buildings, so sometimes the lines of buildings look like a stem of plants, like a scale of a fish. He also liked to use ceramic tiles to make a building livelier.

Estrella Damm - Beer in Barcelona

by littlesam1

Mark and I are beer drinkers. When we travel we love to discover local beers and give them a taste. One of the beers we found in Barcelona was Estrella Damm. I really like it and found it sitting on my table many times when I would pause for a rest from walking the streets of Barcelona.

2 PIN ELECTRICAL PLUG

by MaheshSamtani

If you happen to carry any electrical stuff like hair dryers or just a simple charger for your mobile telephone - you will have to take into account that the electrical systems admit only the 2 pin round plug as shown in the picture. If you are coming in from Britain you might want to buy an adapter to be able to use your stuff in Spain. It may be a little difficult to get it in any normal electrical store. If you happen to have a El Corte Ingles department store near you - they sell adapters for different systems.
The Spanish system is compatible with most European plug sockets – except mainly for the British 3 pin plug - so get that adapter.

Watch the parrots

by Pieter11

When you are in Parc de la Ciutadella, take a good look at the high palmtrees standing here. In the top of these trees you can discover wild parrots makes their nest or taking care of their young ones. Really a nice thing to see.

Home-spa products

by glamourprincess about Rituals

This shop was new to me, but I see from their website there are shops all around Europe!
I really liked the concept of delicious bath and body products and scented products for the home. The stores were so peaceful and relaxing and filled with so many lovely scents. I'm not sure about the quality of the ingredients in the products as I only bought scented candles. It's really cheap so I'm not expecting top quality. I loved the scented candles. 4 euro - 25 euro
