Money money money~

We rent a double room for 4 nights at Eur 80/night before tax (7%) excluding breakfast (Euro 13/person for breakfast). Firstly they gave us a poor room with a worn out lamp, a broken cupboard, a loose lock of safe box, a bath with rust stain, and a backstreet view. It's good that they were willing to change the room after we requested. However, when I reached the lobby to change the keys, the staff was talking about us in Spanish with the room maid in phone. She may think I won't understand her spanish that she is saying we are trouble. I stared at her, then she stopped. And then, I asked how we can use the mini safe box and Wi-Fi internet in our room, she said we have to rent the safe box key in Euro 3.95/day, and pay Euro 22/day for the internet connection in room, or pay Euro 2 per 20 minutes for the computers in the lobby! But it stated they have free Wi-Fi internet service on http://www.bookings.org/!! Moreover, we asked for breaking some Euro 100 paper notes into Euro 20 and 10, the staff was not willing to do so, and asked us to change it at the bank next door!

The only thing I appreciated is the location and the wonderful fountain view of our room (after changed our room)!

In the middle of the city

This is an hotel situated just in the center of the city .
Its situated in the Plaza espanol and the metro is just at the door
This Place is very near to the mont juic and many other attraction places
The view from the hotel is superb ..specially the sunset and the sunrise is
unforgettable
The service is outstanding and they are helpful to suggest some interesting restaurants and places to visit.

Unique Quality: I am not interested so much with the facilities because Barcelona is waiting me outside !!!

Hotel by the Palace

By far the nicest hotel I have stayed in (U.S. and Europe).

Unique Quality: View of the Palace at night when there is a light/water/music show that will knock your socks off. Also, It is large with many amenities like a gym, internet access and rooftop pool.
