My stay was wonderful. I had a nice sized room, on the top floor. Out my window was a cool statue on top of the building across the street . It was a woman, it may have been the Virgin Mary. Not sure. Anyway, the room was great, the staff very friendly, and the food was decent. The beds were a little stiff, but all hotels vary in this regard. My only complaint was that in the hallways, it seemed like the heat was turned up to 90 degrees F! The temperature of the rooms, of course, is fine. And it is nice that the window opens all the way... some hotels in America don't let you open the windows... even in a smoking room!
Aside from it being a nice hotel, perhaps the best advantage of staying here is the location. It is in such close proximity to the Passeig de Gracia, and the "Diagonal" metro station is only 2 blocks away. It is in a safe neighborhood and there are lots of good cafes, restaurants, and bars in the area.
