My stay was wonderful. I had a nice sized room, on the top floor. Out my window was a cool statue on top of the building across the street . It was a woman, it may have been the Virgin Mary. Not sure. Anyway, the room was great, the staff very friendly, and the food was decent. The beds were a little stiff, but all hotels vary in this regard. My only complaint was that in the hallways, it seemed like the heat was turned up to 90 degrees F! The temperature of the rooms, of course, is fine. And it is nice that the window opens all the way... some hotels in America don't let you open the windows... even in a smoking room!
Unique Quality: Aside from it being a nice hotel, perhaps the best advantage of staying here is the location. It is in such close proximity to the Passeig de Gracia, and the "Diagonal" metro station is only 2 blocks away. It is in a safe neighborhood and there are lots of good cafes, restaurants, and bars in the area.
Directions: On C/ Rossello, in between C/ Balmes and C/ Enric Granados.
I stayed here last year, 2005, when the Hotel had just been opened. The location is great, Calle Rossello is a quiet street just a short walk along the Paseo de Gracia from Plaza Catalunya. Very comfortable rooms, plasma screen tv etc, and at a reasonable price, as far as I can remember we paid around 80 euros per room per night.
